Biamou still has lots to offer (1 Viewer)

He had. When Rose was suspended though, Jordon Thompson was on the bench ahead of Pask.

I just think the fact that he’s recently been first choice RWB, and Max and Kasta (!) are back in the first team squad makes the idea of a bomb squad a little ridiculous. Clearly Robins leaves a route back for players if fucking Kasta managed to take it?

Pask has been playing first team games?
I like Pask and think he will make the grade
But so far he's not played centrally and he really hasn't shown his best when on the right
These decisions are based on what management see in games but even more so in training

Bit odd to sign a player, and immediately stick him out in the cold.

It was a strange signing in the first place, especially for a fee, but him arriving with some kind of England-specific asthma condition took it to a farcical level. Not sure what went on with his medical, but personally I wouldn't be surprised if there's some kind of legal action against his old club in Germany. I'm sure he'll never play a league game for us.

What’s the word on walker in training ?

Brazil was crocked to be fair and should never have got through a medical

Bamber wasn’t too bad but I think had some illness - his performance at Highbury was a stand out moment in that game

Graham Withey is quite a funny guy. He will say he’s been in an all time team in 3 different clubs - Cardiff Bristol Rovers and Coventry - only problem is it’s the worst ever first 11
I think I was at that Highbury match, did we win 1-0 and he scored with a towering header?

I think Baka could be a better target man than Biamou and has the pace to boot he is certainly a better finisher.

It was also the first time we actually played two up top and worked on it in training as well up to the game.
Baka has not had that luxury that was afforded to Biamou who fair play put in a great shift.

What Biamou has had maybe over Baka for reasons unknown is hunger to fight suggesting a better attitude.

I do not think Baka in bomb squad but tbh he is probably on last chance saloon and may now have to wait for injuries before making a matchday squad - though I'd always have him on the bench personally if we are going two up top.

Biamou and Baka can both offer squad something though logically you'd expect Godden & Walker to be our main two up top over the course of the whole season.

I’ve seen absolutely nothing since we signed Baka to make me think he will be close to a decent target man he’s got all the attributes but no idea how to use them,Max offers us more Robins seems to think so anyway & that’s all that matters 😊

No denying Max has done himself a lot of favours with MR still not sure Walker & Godden won't be firts choice front two in a few weeks time,

Baka has not had the chance to play in same formation as Max and work on it in training during the week in that aspect Baka been unlucky and Biamou fortunate but he has taken his chance.

Agree though Baka has all the attributes but hasn't utilised them to date. It would have been interesting to see how Baka would have done if he had been given the same luxuries of Biamou and played vs Reading but tbf if you don't take your chances or perform your luck will run out.

I thought personally Max did ok not brilliant but worked very hard but the change in formation made a big difference in it's entirety.

Doubtful, it's a footballer not a car. The buying club conducts its own due diligence in the form of a medical.

I'm not sure that much can be read into Baka falling out of favour, I wouldn't say Robins puts players out in the cold more he rewards players who make the most effort.

Putting Kastaneer on the pitch ahead of him against Blackburn and then out the squad altogether is a bit odd unless he is injured

MR seems to have favoured Baka for quite a whil but haven’t got a clue why. Both Baka and Max aren’t good enough for this division albeit I think Max can become an off the bench impact player as he links up well With MG. let’s hope Max can get a run of games to show his worth but still think Walker needs to be the 2nd striker

I am not writing Baka off until he has at least kicked a ball in this league. I'm not Biamou's biggest fan but he did OK on Friday

Understand but I didn’t think Baka had the quality in League 1 nevermind with this jump up in class. I hope I am wrong but just can’t see it

Think the issue was that Kasta had lost a lot of weight as instructed but although he put himself about when he came on he was alarmingly unfit

If Thompson is now ahead of him who’s career here looked all but over here 12 months ago he needs to move on.

23 years old now and has 21 senior games to his name

Assuming you're in the school of Biamou and Baka not being good enough and bearing in mind we're not top payers and likely to be involved in a relegation scrap, then who do we think we're likely to get that would be happy playing 3rd and 4th fiddle to Godden and Walker and fit within our budget?

That's not a leading question, no ulterior motive, simply genuinely interested to hear constructive alternatives rather than these two simply not being good enough.

Imo Max is currently ahead but presumably baka a few years younger ought to still have some improvement in him, offers a potential resale value and will be better equipped when/if we do get relegated.

He’s no Dion Dublin but he’s also no Kevin Kyle. The latter being the worst attempt at a No. 9 I’ve seen in a City shirt
You're probably right about Kevin Kyle although we've had some other terrible ones. In addition to those already mentioned i would add Trevor Benjamin and Stuart Beavon, who always looked useless when I saw him.

Those two made more of an effort I think, Kyle by his own admission ‘spunked it up a wall’

Clive Platt was also poor and he played for us in the Championship.

Sell both and get a 3rd striker who is equal to godden and Walker (let’s face it we don’t know how he will fair this season!). Then you have 3 in rotation, it’s a long ass season so you need strikers who are sharp and adequately rested.
