I’ve gone for 1-1 Max to score
Will a draw be enough, though? Many people have said that we are effectively playing in a mini league of the bottom clubs. That being the case, we need to win tonight.

Anyone else appear to have IFollow access despite not paying? Showing up in the app as if I’ve paid for it (which also happened for the Reading game but I thought that might be because it was on Sky).

Right gonna rant here. Should probably be in the Things That Annoy You Thread.

Missus has booked a hotel for us tonight to get away from living with my parents for a night. No worries I thought, get some sex, I’ll miss a City game for that.

Now she’s text me to say she’s tired and feeling ill but can we still have a “nice night away because we won’t get another chance for a while”. So now I’m sat in a hotel, probably checking here for match updates (my Dad is still using my login for iFollow), and no sex. Worst of all worlds.

We’d better win tonight.

Should have told her to get in the bin mate. It's matchday, priorities. ;)

Way too early in season to be worried that away points aint enough

I doubt forest or derby will be near bottom by end of season. Could be different teams we fighting

Relax for now. Every point is welcome

That was me for the Swansea game. I quickly learned that she’s only up for it after 3 pm kick offs, not evening fixtures.

Imagine what it'll be like if we lose and in the process of summing up Clive just throws in Trump has been declared the winner of the US election!

Although with Clive he'd probably call him Bush and it'd almost certainly mean Biden had won.

I have a season ticket but I thought that only allowed me to watch home games. It's offering me the match for tonight though...

Team come out oozing confidence after beating reading, same formation as last time out

3-0. Godden x 2 and Hamer

Disregard Forest's position. They have good players and now have a decent manager. They must fancy a change in their fortunes against a newly promoted club like us. This is like the Bristol game, we must be able to show we can go toe to toe with a good club away from home. It's a bit of a free shot as at the beginning of the season this one would have been firmly in the locker marked 'expect to lose'. But scoring a goal is the absolute must.

The three man central midfield is a really important change by Robins imho. And Hamer, Sheaf & O'Hara looks pretty good for a side hoping to avoid relegation. Kelly or Shipley come in to cover Hamer's inevitable suspensions. 3-4-3 left us too weak through the middle and overloaded on the flanks for a side frequently on the defensive.

Just checked the InfoGol analysis (below). Suggests a dull night ahead, although xG at this stage in the season always seems a bit pointless to me.

"Chris Hughton has steadied the ship at Nottingham Forest, and it’s interesting to analyse how Forest have developed in recent weeks.

Under Hughton, Forest have averaged 1.28 xGF and 0.98 xGA per game, which perfectly shows how different they’ve been playing under the Englishman.

For context, under Sabri Lamouchi this season, Forest averaged 1.47 xGF and 1.80 xGA per game, so the improvement in defence is clear to see.

It would be normal for such a turnaround to come as a result of restricted attacking output, but the Reds’ have looked almost unaffected going forward, creating five non penalty big chances (>35%) since his appointment.

Arguably, the biggest challenge Hughton now faces is how to ignite Lewis Grabban’s season, with the forward looking desperately short on confidence this term, racking up 3.93 xG without finding the back of the net.

Once Grabban regains his swagger, Forest may begin to secure even better results, but until then expect even more low-scoring games.

Coventry beat Reading on Friday (xG: COV 1.62 – 1.49 RED), becoming the first team to take three points against the Royals this campaign.

That was the most xG they’ve created all season in the Championship, with Coventry often looking void of creativity, especially when playing away.

Across their four games on the road, Coventry have averaged 0.75 xGF per game, and to make matters worse, they’ve created just one non-penalty big chance when playing away.

With questions surrounding both sides ability to score goals in the context of this fixture, I believe it makes sense to side with under 2.5 goals at 1.77 (56%) here. The Infogol model calculates a 57% (1.75) chance of there being less than three goals, making it a small but enticing value bet."

Really confident against Reading far less so tonight. Think there will be couple of changes from Fridays starting 11; one of the back three and possibly back to one up front

???I've bought a match pass separately. Be interested to know if that works. I'm happy to pay the club, but surprised if our ST covers away games!

Hope he doesn't revert to one up front (unless, of course, it works!)
