Absolutely...I would even get one for my 84yr old mum. She remembers being taken into the shelter and would wear this with pride.

Amazing my mum was too young at 1 , but they were bombed out and lived in someone else’s house who took them in , they did not even at the time know them at the time

Yes mum doesn’t remember too much...just the being bundled in a blanket and taken down the shelter...of course happened lots of nights. My dad, when he was alive, remembered it as exciting the days after each raid; searching rubble, finding canisters and parachute silk etc. On this particular night though he was staying at his aunts in Stratford. Could remember the glow over the city and the fear on the face of his aunt and uncle about what was happening in Coventry. He said he never questioned whether he would see his mum and dad again but clearly his aunt and uncle feared the worse.
My grandparents did talk of fear etc but more of the need to get through. One grandad an ARP warden and other working days and nights at the car factories...often sleeping in for days on end.

It'd only work if all profits went to charity - can't make money from something like that.

I get the Marmite reaction. It would get a lot of publicity - agree that some funds ought to go towards Cathedral maintenance / similar, but as a one off shirt, I quite like it. Imagine wearing it against a German team in Europe !!
