Now we have 5 subs. We should wack Kasta on last 10 mins each game if we are looking for a goal.

With his strength would bully defences and might be the best way to utilise him.

He had his chance against Blackburn, don’t think they were happy with his contribution as he hasn’t made the bench since - we will have to pay his contract up to get rid of him

he played 70 mins for u21 the other day.
So would expends him to be on bench tomorrow

Lucky fecker. Awful from our point of view though.

Dishing out these 3 year deals shows the recruitment team obviously rated them stats wise but took a gamble on other things like work ethic/personality traits etc. Hilssner seems like a decent lad to be fair

It’s more to do with they wouldn’t move country without a long commitment from the club, would struggle to convince anyone to move over for a 1 year contract.

Great points but I’d rather have players who might be able to hit the ground running. We can’t afford to have too many “passengers” (for lack of a better word) in our squad and need as many players available as possible. Doubt these players are scouted and as mentioned it’s stats and vids. Doesn’t work for me.

O’Hare could definitely do a job alongside Walker or Godden a little ferret type of player always buzzing about could be a real handful so long as we pass to him correct.
Are you the guy who wanted Dabo CDM ?

Come off it O’Hare Up front now then 🤣🤣🤣

Dabo in midfield has now reached icon stages. If we improve and get out of relegation trouble surely a 2 minute cameo in that role is on the cards.

Don’t rate Hamer or Dabo then?

I guess we dropped over 1 mill on Hamer and Dabo was already known to Viveash.

The scouting system is the scouting system though and Viveash would’ve known Dabo from years ago. Might give him an in in negotiations but not in identifying.

Most of the players are scouted from Germany and the Netherlands, it’s about as far away as Scotland.

We’ve also had duds from L1 (Brown and Ogogo anyone?) it happens playing the game we are. It’s nothing to do with them being forrin

I was more playing Devil’s advocate for those specifics.

Dabo? Born in this country and was part of Chelsea’s academy then went on loan to Dutch clubs and we signed him after he came back and I’m assuming he was released from Chelsea.

Hamer has been one of our best players but would you judge him as a success after less than 10 games?

don’t understand you post tbh.

I’m going to contradict myself a bit here for asking for proven players on a free. Both were dreadful. Ogogo started well enough but neither worked out. We can’t keep going with unproven overseas players. It gets us nowhere.

It’s a consequence of lacking the funds to sign higher profile domestic players

True but we were linked with Garner from Man U who went on loan to Watford and had a great game against us but Watford have the money to bring him in. We need better recruitment than unknown overseas players. I’m hoping viveashes knowledge might help us in jan.

More realistically we could hope to offload more deadwood then and get a third striker with perhaps more steel in defence if Rose continues to struggle. Problem is we’ve racked up a lot of loan signings already

Yep but getting rid of some deadwood will be tricky (Kasta will mean paying off). A CH and a striker is what I’m thinking but they need to be first 11 players.

If Godden injured we should play Baka and Walker as a front two obvious but MR too stubborn for that!
If he can't bring himself to pick Baka then Max should partner Walker worst case as I think Walker quite likes him as a partner.
I really hope Godden is fit mind.....

Norwich could have quite a few out against us which is good as Cantwell injured too! (y)

We already have 2 first 11 strikers who are capable of scoring some goals at this level
Yes but better strikers in reserve is the key. Max is effective in his role and gets on the end of chances but he should have had a few goals by now but hasn’t. Baka, 6’4, supported by his manager (no idea why), supposedly has all the physical attributes to lead a line and bag the occasional goal but nothing happens (wouldn’t surprise me if he does). We’ve tried everything else. I really want to see a front 2 of walker n godden but if godden is injured then I’d still play 2 upfront. I think mr will do that tomoz because we need a win and I wouldn’t be surprised if Baka starts. We’ve tried everything else.

There aren’t many good or proven strikers who would be happy to sit on the bench and get 10 minutes here and there for one of the worst teams in the league - it would be a waste of what little resources we have anyway, our defending has been the main reason we haven’t picked up points

That’s what some of our limited resources need to be spent on and a ch. no one knows what funds we have available. Robins wanted another player in during the summer but couldn’t get one because of the pandemic situation. Any club that doesn’t think 2 transfer windows ahead is stupid. They’ll be something for him to spend on wages, not transfer fees, in jan.
