What's Lee Camp's distribution like? Given that we play out from the back and love to send it to our own keeper to redistribute, we either need someone comfortable with his feet or a change in style. I suppose that's the down side of playing like we do - we have more specialist needs than a keeper who can just catch a ball or make a save.
Hope it’s better than lee burges. None of our keepers have ever been good distributors and now it’s playing it out from the back

Villa GK was 10 years understudy at Arsenal. Took his chance then got his move. Not suggesting Wilson is the answer but surely having been patient deserves his chance to have a go. Particularly on Sat when we're not realistically expecting to get anything. If it works great,if not then still get someone in.

He seems to parry a lot of shots rather than catching them. So if we sign him up, we'll need to make sure he's surrounded by our defenders to prevent any tap-ins after the initial parry. i thought Wilson did okay for the 1 min that he played, but obviously that's too little a sample size to judge him on.

From the video he looks to be a half decent shot-stopper but I think Burge was also a half-decent shot stopper. It was the rest of his game I wasn't a fan of. Does anyone know if Camp can play out from the back, command the area etc. T

Saying all that though, about 15 years ago I had Lee Camp in a team I built in Championship Manager which went from non league to the Premier League in 8 seasons and he was awesome for me.

From all the comments on here I feel like I must know the only three blues fans (one of which worked in the coaching staff until this summer) who think he’s absolutely fine. All three have said, he’s perfectly competent without being excellent and would be a good keeper for us in general (they don’t know anything about Marosi to say if he’s better/worse) let alone for a 6-8 game period. I genuinely get the feeling that Burge has instilled so much fear into us about keepers. He’s clearly past his best due to age, but any keeper who’s played 500ish games at championship level is gonna be comfortably better than Burge. We’re possibly getting above our stations in who/what we should be attracting.

Beggars can’t be choosers, let’s just get him in

I've no idea on the Birmingham stint but if you've seen Sunderland til I die he was dreadful for them. Although I guess many on here see that as a redeeming feature!

He is out of contract so we can offer him 1 week to 1 year if we wanted. But would make sense with Marko’s injury to give a deal to at least Jan and then if he does well then a contract to the end of the season.

By what time today do we need to sign a keeper for them to be part of the squad tomorrow. Personally I’d start Wilson but bring in some competition.

That’s not the question. Is he less crap than Wilson is the question.
Do we really have three other keepers who are not good enough to play in the Championship? Seems a massive oversight by the club if so.

Lots of keepers can stop shots but his fundamentals and concentration are poor, he's a mistake waiting to happen.
