Earnshaw I could support for a year......Kuqi really, at 35 is not what we should be looking at.

Not sure I agree. Kuqi played in League 1 last year so knows what to do in this Division. He also scored goals against Sheffield United and Preston last season. Plus in the cup he scored 2 against Crewe (another side we'll now be playing next season).

Could be a good move for 1 year actually.

Not wanting to add any weight to this or anything but also just remembered they played together at Birmingham as well from 2008 to 2010. That means they were together for 7 years on the pitch. I'd imagine they know each other pretty well.
Injury prone and would want high wages, people were mentioning him last pre season and nothing happened. Trying not to get my hopes on this pre season speculation only to be let down again.

Shefki looks a decent punt in the 3rd Division - a big (but quite mobile) player, not a prolific scorer 162 goals / 565 games = about 13 per 46 game season.

Looked at his videos - knocks opposing defenders about quite well (particularly goalkeepers) - two footed but didn't see much aerial power.

Will be a hit with his "Flying Finns" - would take him on for a year methinks - defo worth a shout

Where's the Earnshaw rumour come from? That I might get a bit excited about, certainly more so than the Iceman fossil we've thawed out..

He scored two against the mighty Crewe? Sign him up!

Serioulsy, do we really need an over-the-hill journeyman who has had difficulty scoring goals for the vast majority of his career? 10 or 11 in a L1 season doens't make him good enough to get us up: it makes us good enough an average L1 team, if that. He's the Luxury Clive Platt.

We need everybody we can get! As it stands we'll only need 1 row for the squad picture and most the players will need to take parental consent forms home before it can be taken!

Kuqi did a good job for Oldham last season. We don't exactly scream "going straight back up" do we, so I think we need to build a sqaud with some players used to League 1 football to at least make us comfortably safe. Players like Kuqi will do that for us.

League 1 is a rough division, it makes Michael Doyle look relatively tame. Strength is vital, Kuqi can throw his weight around well. We need somebody like that.

True, it wouldn't have been ideal for the mighty Coventry City, but the days of us being a good (even decent) club that can lure big names in are long gone. We have to be realistic and thinking realistically, Shefki is a more than capable signing for a League 1 side with bigger financial problems than Greece.

Well at least I missed nothing on the CCFC front by going away for week - in fact I could probably have gone for 6 weeks.

Who's centre forward for the Faroes nowadays ?

Faroe Islands centre forward would be Joan Simun Edmundsson, formerly of Newcastle United and Gateshead. Now plays for Viking in Norway :D

(I have far too much time on my hands).

We need a big, experienced player who scores more than 9 goals a season and knows the division. Someone for Cody to work from and hold the ball up. Someone who is a bastard to opposing defences. I'd be happy with Shefki for a season.

Earnshaw would really build my hopes up for a great season though.

Would I want him as first choice. No

I do think he would be a better option than Platt off the bench though.

Earnshaw\Kuqi upfront? Wish in one hand and shit in the other! No such luck guys. I'd be happy with Kuqi though I doubt this is true! he's a bit past it but he will do a good job for us. We just need numbers and solidness to get out of this mess. Paired with Cody and Elliott I reckon that's upfront sorted. All that's left is defence and midfield -_-
