We’ve gone 4 games unbeaten - we’ve conceded less than a goal a game in those games - the whinging is hilarious considered I’m supposed to be negative

The performance tonight was absolutely abysmal and I for one won't be forgetting it just because of one big moment from Hamer.

There are a handful of players that are not good enough for this level and it is going to cost us. Robins has done well to tighten things up, but his second half inaction should have cost us. We got lucky.

Robins just doesn't seem to know how to set up to take the game to a team from the off. He can build a club, is a good man manager and has a great team spirit but on the pitch he's paint by numbers. He was the same vs Morecambe in L2 as we are now in the Championship - he's got no sliding scale or adjustment for who we're playing or how we're playing. Very frustrating.

We should have been more ambitious at Norwich when they showed how bad they were during the first half and today has been horrific despite the late goal. Jobello is the guy you bring on when you're 3-0 up for some minutes after his injury not to change the game in your favour and it was crying out for 2 strikers. Needed minimum 9 points from the 6 games including tonight. 8 from 15 now.
Hard to agree with that first paragraph as he's taken us up twice in 3 years

Gave Derby too much respect, despite where they were in the table I thought they would be better than that.

Think we could have got three points if we had a real go but played too safe.

That said we are slowly moving up the table, don’t see any of the teams below us getting three points tomorrow night.

Our Barnsley supporting friend was right then, I get that it’s solid defensively but I’ve seen us play this system 3 times and it completely kills the best parts of our game, no shocks we scored when we went to 3 at the back and overloaded the wide areas. Good point in the end onto Saturday.
It does kill the best parts, but it also kills the worst parts. Takes time to work out the best approach. Don’t think tonight was it, but we didn’t lose and can push on. Derby under Rooney are more direct and take fewer chances. As much as we think Spooney is a tool, he has stopped the rot and they aren’t as easy to beat as they were. That is his entire intention at present. Wasn’t just poor selection / strategy, Derby were hard to break down and direct in approach. Take the point.

I think we proved that with a flat back 4 and only one up front, it doesn't suit us. Kudos to the defence - Wilson again good. An aerial threat allowed us to turn their back 4. Our back 4 seriously affected Dabo and McCallum as an attacking threat, plus we looked more iffy at the back as we tired and couldn't hold the ball up front.

Gone up a place in the league, as Rotherham 2-0 down against Brentford with a couple of minutes to play.

odd you keep saying this every game but they don’t

Because their finishing is awful, just look over the chances. Whereas against Norwich they created little apart from a 5 minute spell. Then you laughed off the idea of going 5-3-2 in that game and we scored afterwards, and again only scored tonight with 2 up front.

Never admits a mistake and keeps ignoring that he wanted Robins sacked prior to this run

I do think we should have shifted to 2 up front at half time, but because we didn't play well it didn't make Derby's performance any better. Some really dire performances from Giles and in particular Shipley hampered us going forward. We don't have the mix right going forward. Hamer is fucking fantastic. Give hime players to work with and he'll open teams up all day.

Well I called the formation
I called 9 of the start xi
I called that it would be difficult and forecast 1-1

Despite all of the above I am surprisingly disappointed ....in the cold light of day tomorrow will probably see this as a vital away point hopefully.
Big game on Saturday I hope we are a little more expansive and attacking but now we've got the point I won't hold my breath!

Obvious. Completely obvious.

Can’t believe we have to concede to start playing in games. The most frustrating thing is it works, we look a threat, score a goal then go back to offering nothing again at the start of the next game.

With Kelly and Dabo back in, the team looks more solid as well so reckon the team can handle two up top better than we did earlier in the season

But we have no choice but to use those players. If they're not good enough there's not much we can do.
They've been.thrown.in because we can't afford better.

At the minute we're 19th. Finish there and it's job done but it's not going to be a barrrell of laughs from.now until the end of the season.

It’s like he doesn’t understand the context of games. It’s just: away point = good. No Mark, an away point against top of the league is good. An away point against a team who are terrible when you nearly chucked it away and didn’t bother to attack is bad.

I mean Grendel is correct in essence, we've created enough to win the match, it's just a shock to see a mark Robins Coventry side adopt this ugly style, we aren't used to it

Just a fact if you change formation. Like it or not Barnsley dude was spot on. Ten men behind the ball against the worst team in the league. As soon as we were forced to go to a formation our players knew we got forward and threatened them.

Robins needs to listen to himself and get some belief. We are better than we just played.

4 of Your next 5 games will be same, he shits himself at this level when playing fellow relegation strugglers, he see them as mustn’t lose games rather than very winnable.
