My summary of the game has attracted 15 likes so far - you and BSB are well liking each other’s posts

let’s leave it there

You've also got quite a few more than just him agreeing with what I'm saying. Hamer rescuing this game after we go 2 up front doesn't mean we weren't very poor tonight

But they're what we've got.
Why do people keep banging on about players not being good enough? They're what we have, it's not like we had the chance to recruit proven Championship pedigree. People need to accept it for what it is for their own sanity if nothing else!

And I disagree about O'Hare, not saying he will make the grade but too early to say he won't.
Shipley is really struggling.
What’s O’Hare done to convince you other wise ? He wasn’t even a starter in league 1 he’s over rated and bottles the big chances in a game

So surely that dreadful formation should have shipped many more than 1 on Saturday. Dude, we weren't conceding because of the formation. Penalties, horrible individual errors and zonal marking from set pieces were what cost us.

We are going to find it so hard to win games playing like this

they had no forwards Saturday keep digging

Have to agree with feret about tonight’s formation and tactics against Norwich Dabo and Giles were superb on both wings got over 20 crosses in there was hardly any tonight. I actually think we start games better with our wing back system. But let’s take this point and move on there are no easy teams in this division, just look at tonight’s results to see anyone can beat anyone , we have gone from the leakiest defence in the league to the tightest I think we are slowly getting to grips with this division. We have what’s been said counting tonight 5 winnable games one down point gained 4 games to go.

I'm not sure I understand his thinking. We go away to the league leaders and we play a formation that is familar to us and which has reaped rewards over the last 18 months. We play well and cause them a lot of problems. We then play the team bottom of the table and switch to a formation that seems to be more about containing the opposition and which seems to make key players almost redundant. Surely we're not going to spend a season switching formation every few days.
Can't keep fucking about. Consistency is key and whilst tactical changes are needed, we're not man city, I'd argue Shipley, Giles, o hare and to an extent Hamer didn't have a fooking clue what they were supposed to be doing and walker looked seriously hacked off

You will see it again though I'm afraid, because we're getting points on the board... They can ofcourse try and tweak and work on things in training... Alot of today's problems were poor individual performances imo
I hear you Evo. I do seriously think our wing backs are our strength both in terms of given serious problems running direct at the oppo...and as an out ball for our midfielders. I'm not a fan of playing a system that negates Dabo and Giles....and reduces options for our midfielders. Finally it's painful to see Walker/Godden/AB battle it out alone up front for little effect.

We can have 400 crosses we won’t score if we are playing 1 up front 🤦🏻‍♂️

There is a whole level of through game fitness and tempo that has changed , off the ball running etc , but yes what you say is spot on

I said he hasn't convinced me but he's shown glimpses.
And he was brilliant last year.
Both off 5he bench and as the season went on when he was starting

To be honest, it would have got to the point where we were losing 3-2 every week and eventually people would have demanded a formation change... It's not pretty, but tonight really wasn't as much about the formation more the individual performances and style of play... We could have scored 4 still.

We beat QPR playing wing backs. We beat Reading playing wing backs. We drew at Norwich playing wing backs. This system from last season that just doesn't work apparently.

Suggest playing a back four doesn't suit us and you get jumped on by the yeah but 0-0 against Blues crowd as though you are suggesting something utterly outrageous.

What's bizarre is that the Norwich game is included in the 4 game unbeaten run but it doesn't count because Norwich had injuries/Max scored late. Yet we draw against Birmingham because Juke missed a hattrick of sitters and it's rock solid 4 at the back.

You can win games if you concede, you can't win if you don't score. Then you have the guy who wanted MR sacked and Kenny Jackett to swap places trying to look like he was a genius all along

We should have won 4-2 - they should have scored 4 lol

No point debating with you Scrooge if you can't respond to direct points and questions - and it's been clear to me for some time that you have no understanding of football making it even more pointless.

I'm delighted with the point but for most of us who understand the game it was a shocking performance and poor tactics.

Probably our worst performance this season and we still created 4 great opportunities and scored. Undefeated in 4. Robins to learn a lesson from that and still gain a point. Rotherham had a tough one against brentford it seems, and a red card. Looking forward to Saturday

O'Hare nearly scored (twice) and Hamer did. That'll do me every week.

I'm struggling to recall the chances and any as gilt edged as the two we missed
Kazim-Richards - missed a free header in the first half
That Lawrence should have scored in the first half when the ball was dummied and he hit it straight at Wilson
That guy hit the bar
They should have had a pen

we were poor and a good team would have really hammered us.

Who said Norwich doesn't count?

I fully understand why we have to go 1 up front given the injury problems but we're going to find it so hard to win games just nicking the odd goal and asking miracles of the lone striker
I do think we should play two up against Rotherham. A physical presence in Biamou would be an option - they are a big side. Horses for courses and all that.

It’s obvious who the midfield 4 should be, robins can be very blinkered. Wasn’t until the last few games of the league 2 season till he let Kelly cross the half way line. No one knew how good he was because he wasn’t allowed to play
