Why, if we don’t need to use Clamp then that surely means Wilson is doing the business. Two penalties given away in three games now.
Yes, he’s done fine otherwise. Yes, you could argue the decisions were soft. But at what point do we think about starting Lee Camp?

My point is that Wilson arguably isn’t doing the business, and we’re currently spending a fair whack on a keeper who most would say is better to just sit on the bench.

Plus how's Wilson not doing the business? He's not looked a clown a la Burge or flapped, why you so focussed on Wilson?
Because if Lee Camp had given up two penalties in his first three games for us, there may well have been a meltdown on here. I think it’s a fair question to ask.
If Wilson proves to be perfectly capable all along then it just makes the decision to spend money on Lee Camp slightly strange.
How is it a strange decision to sign Camp? What happens if Wilson gets injured?Because if Lee Camp had given up two penalties in his first three games for us, there may well have been a meltdown on here. I think it’s a fair question to ask.

today what else did you want him to do? stand on his line and allow a shot without a challenge?
In an ideal world I’d like him to not take out the player and give away a penalty.
Nothing wrong with having a backup keeper, obviously. But when Marosi got injured there was this huge rush to sign an accomplished keeper on decent wages before the next game. If Wilson was perfectly capable then why not just put the youth keeper on the bench for a couple of weeks? Everyone does it.
The truth is that no-one really had much faith in Wilson being able to hack it, so we can’t pretend the Camp signing was just insurance. By his own admission he was shitting himself against Norwich. He’s done fine the past few games, and I’m happy for him so far, but everyone at the club knows he’s not a sure thing and the penalties are a bit of a red flag at this point.
He did swear on the airThe way people were going on when Marosi was injured I was expecting Wilson to be terrible but not really done anything wrong so far.
I know Max is on here all the time. His username is “Grendel”I doubt Shipley reads this though. If someone was direct messaging him calling him shit I'd agree, but on here... meh

This is something we need to understand when there's a charity get together you see the players chipping in. We are in a great position to encourage the lads. Unfortunately there's som knobheads aboutFrom my perspective, we've been building bridges with the players (via supporters clubs etc) and while I might prefer one player to another (and yes, I think that Shippers should be dropped at the moment) I'm not prepared to call one of those players shit or turn on him. Part of the reason the club has turned around has been the bond built with supporters. I've travelled on the coach around the country with Shippers' dad and granddad, so feel for them (and us) when he's not performing. Regardless, even if it was a player I didn't know so well, what merit is there calling Fadz a donkey, Sheaf crap etc etc. If it is constructive - wanting Bapaga instead of Max, because he's got more pace, or McCallum instead of Giles, because he's better in the air, 4 at the back because etc etc, fair enough.....but just saying 'they're shit......no (and yet I agree, Shippers needs to learn how to tackle properly, otherwise he's going to struggle at this level)
He’s been great, although couple of worrying, relatively straightforward flaps today which could’ve ended badly on another day.
So you prefer camp who hasn't played all season to replace a guy who has only conceded 3 in 3 games, 2 of which were penalties?Fumbled a bit yesterday, against a better team they would have capitalised on some of those mistakes. I think because we won he keeps the shirt but I wasn’t impressed. Would prefer to see Camp playing who is more proven, more experienced and is probably less shaky. Nerves appear to be showing in Wilson’s performance yesterday in my opinion
