Penalties conceded (1 Viewer)

I actually expected it to be worse than shown here. 4th, but there are quite a few teams with 5 or more against them.

I noticed Clive Eakin highlighting again the amount of penalties against us this season, but the sending offs seem to be more worrying.

The last two have been ridiculous. The referees seem to be saying that goalkeepers cannot defend the goal in a one-on-one situation, because even if they get the ball, if they subsequently collide with the attacker it's a foul. The assumption used to be that the goalkeeper was protected and in a collision the foul is given the other way.

We should take advantage of this the other end.

Also conceded penaly in injury time vs Gillingham.

Think it's pretty much Mcfadzen most of them.

Last season he was at fault for about 3 too off the top of my head.

Wilson is a penalty waiting to happen. He is more confrontational, comes off his line aggressively, which carries risk.

Think McFaz has conceded 4 which is far too high, Rose 1 (blackburn) and our goalkeeper the other 2.

It’s the inconsistency that gets to me.

O Hare against Derby-not given. Yet exactly the same as the two Wilson ones.

7 in all competitions?

I have 2 for Rose, McFadz and Wilson, and COH conceding the remainder.

Controversial opinion, but for me both of the ones given away were pens and O'Hare's wasn't...

They were similar though and would argue they all go down as "could be given".

I think the big difference was the Derby keeper didn't touch O'Hare and Wilson clearly studded the Rotherham player's thigh. I think both decisions were correct.

Think the VAR effect is starting to trickle down to referee's decision making where any contact in the box, however small, is being given.

I think Wilson has done really well for the last couple of games, but he has given away two penalties. I would imagine the majority of the remaining five penalties were given away by McFadzean.

We need to get a lot smarter in the box. Seem to be wising up generally with this side of the game but a few times I think we could’ve gone down in the box and we’ve tried to stay on our feet and struggle through.

Totally agree with that. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. All teams do it, we should go down more easily in the box.

Yeah I don’t like that side of the game at all, but it’s how it’s played at this level so if we don’t do it we’re putting ourselves at a disadvantage.

I think that’s what O Hare did but got nothing !
