Remember it is during the match and people watching/listening have that tension allied to it. They're very emotionally invested at the time of writing.

We won yesterday, which is great, but that doesn't mean to say there was nothing to criticise about the performance. Against a better team we'd have left with nothing, and against a good one we may well have got soundly beaten. That needs to be acknowledged. IMO we've had games we've lost this season that we've played better in.

You can't just go into the next game thinking "well we won so it's all fine" cos sooner or later it will bite you on the arse. I'm sure MR will be highlighting stuff we did wrong or need to improve on.
Thing is, like you say, we’ve lost and played well in games and people have pointed that out. And then, a lot of the time, it’s been dismissed. Mostly by those now still criticising when we’ve won! So it’s a bit meh from me, pretty much no point in arguing with them.

Clint read what I wrote properly.

You just got irate very very quickly .. in your anger you missed reading the “if” ... If you think your opinion was objective then we don’t have a problem do we.

I also said “a lot of”, not all.

Irate? Not at all. There are some people on this forum that get very triggered if you aren't 100% positive. All I am trying to do is point out that most people that post stuff do so with reasonable criticism. Of course, there are some that don't, but it isn't 'a lot of' or 'if' as you are trying to make out.

As far as I can see, everyone is happy with the result yesterday. It looked like you came in with your fingers in your ears not liking to hear any comments that aren't positive to be honest.

The problem is some of it isn't subjective it's just lhysterical ranting with no grounding in reality.

Yeah, some of it is. It is being blown out of proportion though.

As @Sky_Blue_Dreamer says, if you are watching the match and commenting on the match thread at the time, it is usually emotional reactions to what is going on in the game. It is no different from the moans and groans you would get in the stadium. The taxi for Robins stuff is nonsense and a very, very small view point that is parody really. I think people are getting confused with that too much. I couldn't see anyone saying that they weren't happy with the result yesterday.

Derby was an absolute shit show. A lot of mid week games have been poor.

Derby and Middlesbrough were on Robins. I am sure MR reflected on that.

This is fair criticism.

If after a match we have won & gone 7 unbeaten in a division we have just been promoted in to .. and someone say’s “Robins is clueless” or the like then that isn’t objective.

Whether you see comments like this, there are, I assure you, a lot of them.

Of course, nothing is perfect. Robins has already said he wasn't happy with certain things but we have no divine right to dominate anyone, especially at this level. It's all about finding a way to win.

Disagree about the result being different against a better team as against a better team we wouldn't have played like that. People underestimate how difficult Wycombe are to play against. Let's not forget they took points off both Watford & Brentford playing their style.

I think after a positive start we got sucked in to their way of playing. Fact is we dealt with it pretty well especially given the injuries & disruption we had.

Robins deserves credit not to be called "brainless" and, as I said earlier that was after the match.

I get the argument about being emotive during a game but some of this was happening days afterwards.

some people just seemed to give no weighting to the higher calibre opposition and how difficult this league is, (some people argue that the jump from L1 to Championship is the biggest jump in the English game though I'm not so sure myself), but it's definitely a big step up especially with a small squad and some players who it looks aren't really up to this level.

I fully expect us to hit a bad run again at some point and fully expect the same reaction from some.

Forget league position, our points total at this stage of the season is excellent, for where we are.

Currently we're nowhere near the bottom three when for all the world we should be. I'm sure we'll get pulled down a bit soon enough, but we're doing perfectly well overall, relative to our resources.

If you had a kid who learnt to walk yesterday and today he tripped and stumbled would get you get frustrated or be calm that they know what to do and will get back to it soon enough?

It wasn't that long ago that a small number of people were holding Wycombe up as an example of how they were adapting to this division quicker, and better, than us.

They're 10 points behind us, we have nearly double their points total. Of course we're not great at times but... we played really well against the likes of Bristol City, lost, did well against Watford, lost - if we're going to balance the luck out, better to do it against a team we need to pull away from.

And we're doing that, very effectively atm.

Yes, I agree with what you are saying. The whole stuff that has been said about Robins is ridiculous.

I do agree about the comments regarding his team sheets and substitutions though, but I don't think people can complain on that too much yesterday. I'm pretty sure he took Shipley off for performance and that was the right decision.

The first one the thread doesn’t go up to that number.
The second is a running joke that obviously went over your head.

Can’t be bothered to look at the rest based on the first two.

What a waste of time.

We’ve stopped conceding goals as we’ve abandoned the system of passing through midfield and attempting possession football. You have to only look at Klopp whining that Fulham played long ball - no disrespect - but Fulham don’t play like that. No they normally play gung ho nonsense and get slaughtered

That’s bang on. We can reintroduce it with better players or pitches or less pressure. First goal on Saturday a massive case in point

At that moment in time that's how it appeared. We have since ground out some nice results and cut out the mistakes (a few still happen but not as many or severe as they had been).

Just read that we’re in promotion winning form, since we got our new head coach 12 games ago. It’s a petty we couldn’t score goals in the 7 games before he arrived. We’d probably be in the playoffs for Christmas if it wasn’t for that.

Rome wasn't built in a day. You've made great progress. Something for us to emulate but too many supporters want everything on a plate straight away

We're just a goal scoring striker away from being higher in the form table.. ohh and some midfielders now especially for Saturday
