I still say their goal at the Ricoh should never have been allowed, their player's tackle on Grimmer was out of control, and it took Griimmer out.
We got a bit lucky with our penalty but it only evened things up as far as I could see.
They had it in their mind that they were cheated out of a win, and they thought they would hammer us at their ground. it worked against them.
Good.

The best bit was some of our fans getting all excited about how their owner was amazing because he was on social media and spoke to fans.

Then posted a dick pic by mistake, you couldn't make that up.
I forgot about that, made me laugh. Like said, you couldn't make it up.

Hmm maybe. I think their goal in the 2nd leg was a foul. Jon Stead held on to Grimmer. Fistfuls of his shirt. Stopping Grimmer from getting to Grant.

Not that it matters, we’re championship.

See they’ve just upped their game again - SOTV stout
Problem with that is we’re not and haven’t been in the position to mock the premier league former champions league winners Aston Villa, Just like we’re no longer in the position to laugh at recent premier league winners Leicester

Come on man, be bigger than that. They won the European cup when it was champions only, beat Bayern Munich and were league champions in 81.

Sorry, but the year they were European champions they were only the 11th best team in England, and finished only a few points above us.I can't think of a weaker team to have won that trophy in my time watching football.

I wouldn't give a shit how weak a side people thought we were if we were to ever play in the Europa League let alone win the European Cup.

Steau Bucharest 85-86 were awful and won the final 2-0 on penalties

They won the European Cup, not the Champions League. Even then they rode their luck and were very fortunate to win.
That’s a bit pedantic - they’ve won the European cup... it’s the same trophy and the same competition - same as the Europa league is the UEFA Cup. They’ve still won it riding their luck or not, Nobody can take that achievement away from them or belittle that achievement.

same as Leicester winning the league.

I think Legia is one of those who believes Sky invented football
The only difference then was it was a true knockout competition, so it was possible for the underdog to succeed
Just like in 1987 :)

You must be fun at parties

..... because I don't support Villa, or laud their achievements! I suspect a few of you haven't spent much time around Villa fans giving it the 'Billy Big Bollocks'. Belittling their achievement is a constant source of enjoyment - I find it kind of sad that other City fans view things differently.

When we haven’t been in their league for 20 years I don’t see the point. My dad brought me up to hate em mind

I find it sad that you have to put shade on a tremendous achievement because you are so thin skinned to take a bit of banter.

I’m the same. I work in Birmingham, it’s great to laugh when they get beat but we don’t really have the upper hand, and since we haven’t played in 20 years - most of them don’t give a shit that we exist. Getting angry about them is proper small man syndrome

that being said I’ve hammered my united supporting mate recently ( we beat them last time we played) - and currently my arsenal supporting friends - but ultimately, when they ask who were playing this week.. I mumble Wycombe and Huddersfield whilst they continue the chat on whether they should be playing Lacazette and Ozil

You can just ask them what part of the ground their season ticket is in. They probably don't know what the stands are called.

I’m starting to feel the same about Lesta to be honest. Then Hackneyfox came on being a cock around the FA Cup replays and brought it back.

I find it kind of ironic that on a thread started about us giving it large to 'little' Notts County, that people like you are so wet about doing likewise to Villa. Do you know any Villa fans? It must be mind numbingly boring for them if you just constantly nod your head at how great Villa are/were, rather than having 'banter' taking the piss out of their thick accents, downplaying their history, telling them Grealish isn't all that etc.
