Is Bapaga worthy of a place on the bench, i ask because I'd much rather see him get 5 minutes, than someone who's claim to fame for us is getting sent off after sliding half a mile to foul an opponent

Lack of squad depth well and truly exposed today. It was always going to be a big ask being without Hamer and Kelly. Saying that we had our chances to win, let alone draw.

Goal was completely unavoidable and absolutely dreadful from Wilson, from the set piece that it came from and his dog shit kick which gifted it to them beforehand. Personally, I’d like to see Camp between the sticks next game. Makes the odd save but goes through games relatively untested yet always appears to have a horrendous error in him.

Bakayoko, I’m sorry, but I wouldn’t give a shit if he never wore the shirt again. He’s had more than enough chances and provides absolutely nothing. Beyond useless.

Positive to see Godden back, which shall probably coincide with us losing Walker for a period.

Referee had no bollocks, nor did his assistants. Blatant penalty turned down and the time wasting, niggly challenges and theatrics continually went unpunished. What’ we’ve come to expect by the standard of officiating at this level.

Seriously, this was such a frustrating way to lose, especially against a poor team with an overrated and dreadful Manager in Tony Pulis. I can’t see them staying up but this will undoubtedly give them a much needed boost.

Here’s hoping that a week’s rest will serve us well before we entertain Stoke.

Sorry - but people saying we went for a 0-0, when he went 2 up front. MR's fault that Walker got injured?
So glad Godden didn't pick up a knock. W attacked way more than they did (even if it was ineffective) - that's not playing for a draw. I wanted Giles on much earlier, but hey ho.

I think this was just a bridge too far. Just too many key players missing

People who are hammering Dabo and McCallum are clearly ignoring the fact that they are being asked to not get as high and bomb on. It isn’t their fault. The negative mindset of MR when playing bottom of the league is

Really need to give a few players a rest, some really bang average performances. Be good to get a bit of luck with injuries and suspensions.

Baka should never play for the club again. Seen enough, now fuck off. Rather put Bapaga on and give him a chance. Even if it's just to gain experience. Like playing with 10 men with that useless lazy prick. The bloke is thick AF and obviously can't take instructions. Hope Fadz knocks him out in the dressing room.

Robins takes the blame for that dismal performance. Negative, defensive and didn’t want to attack from the start. If Robins set-up to attack we would have had a better day. They couldn’t contain Giles when he came on. Baka was awful and falling all over the place. Robins needs to realise when he should go and attack teams. He was playing for a draw.

I agree, posted earlier that today and Derby were down to him. Overall we're doing OK but he got those two games badly wrong.

When are you going to learn to read you cock juggling thunder c**t?
Wilson had a decent game apart from that admittedly sloppy pass out but would have got away with it but for a daft foul and awful defending from the free-kick, your description of Wilson as our “back up” keeper illustrates your bias.

Do people complaining about Robins setting us up not to concede remember what was going on in the first few games of the season when the opposition were practically scoring at will?

Not to mention the previous seasons where Robins has set us up the same. We only scored 1.4 goals a game last season when we walked the league so not sure where the expectation of goal-fests has come from. Think you have to go back to the Sixfields season and Wilson getting over 20 goals for a season where we averaged more than 1.5 a game.

Not saying a loss today is in any way acceptable but some of the responses are a bit over the top.

It's the championship. Known for this

Disappointment is fine. But I never 3xpected the fight for survival to be over by December . So it doesn't hit me as hard

We have just made it a bit harder. Can’t do anything about it now so just got to hope for a response next weekend. But they were 100% there for the taking and we have given them a huge boost

Guess it depends on the opposition and then see how the game is going.

It was obvious their full back wasn't giving McCallum a sniff but he waited until we were losing to bring Giles on. He instantly took him on and put a cross in.

Setup not to concede against Norwich or Bournemouth.

Funnily enough he’s a striker, not that he wasn’t shit at that today
Still no excuse for him. I know I slate Shipley at the way he is playing but Baka is way beyond that.. Was Robins taking the piss by signing him for another year, Max was also poor today in fact the only players to come out with any credit are Osti Fadz Hyam and Allen the rest were poor with Baka the worst of the bunch closely followed by Walker

Disagree totally. No way were they comfortably better than us. We had key players missing. Did our players put in a shift - yes. Did they doen tools - no. Pitch was crap. and the game was poor, but we had a go. The bit I will agree with, is that we didn't really look like scoring in that second half (Baka ineffectual) but neither did they - that one breakaway apart. Players need that week's rest. Bonus was Wycombe 1-1 v QPR and Millwall 1-1 Forest. Blues 1-3 v Mboro. Couldn't have asked for better results.
We are certainly missing key players, and it shows.
But let’s not make excuses, we are a poor team without Hamer, Kelly and Goden.
Biamou, Bakayoko and Allen are way out of their depth, and O’hare is struggling to make an impact.
Add to that the fact that Ostigard, Mcallum , Giles and Sheaf are only on loan, and things start to look worrying.
And a glance at the bench shows a dangerous lack of quality.
Wednesday are odds on certs for the drop, and to say we were on par with them isn’t any comfort.
We desperately need to wheel and deal in January, or a bad run could see us in dire trouble.

Baka is stealing a wage with these performances. But we have no choice other than pick him especially if Walker is now also gone.

The usual overreaction as expected...

We weren't good enough today but I don't think we set out to be negative, we started brightly, just too many players not at the races.

For all the pre-match concern over Allen & Sheaf they were arguably our 2 best players and the clamour for 2 up top was unrewarded as both were poor.
The wing-backs were both disappointing as well & with an already stretched squad it was a step too far.

But for an error by Wilson & some non existent defending at the resultant set piece we'd likely still have got at least a point though.

Let's chalk it down for experience & go again. With Hamer back & Godden hopefully able to play a bigger part we'll be stronger.
We'd all have taken where we are now going into the season & I'm certain we'll stay up which would be a great achievement.
