I want to hate the ref because we lost but in reality it was a bland boring game and he didn't have a lot of tough decisions to make:
Mainly kept his cards in his pocket
Let the game flow with a couple of good advantage calls
Seemed a little behind the game positionally
I thought he got a couple of throws wrong but didn't replay to check
Blew early at both half time and full time (Maybe he has somewhere to be after the game)
Didn't replay the handball penalty shout and if it was wrong I'm happy to knock off a point

Overall 6

Don’t think the ref got many decisions wrong (would like to see the handball shout again...he might have made a crucial error there). Was slow on head injuries first half but otherwise ok

If it’s a pen the assistant has to intervene as that would probably be on the referees blind side.
6/10 Performance and his performance probably matches the game on the whole.
Got the dropped ball right when he gave Sheff Wed the ball/possession and then we pressed straight away-as long as the defenders (our players) were 4m away when the ball was dropped then that is correct in law.
Pulis then had his say about it and we threw the ball back to them.
This would have been our decision to throw the ball back-again showing that sometimes we are too nice.

Still haven’t looked back at the pen call but I agree that it’s the lino’s responsibility. My first thought was that he had a really good view

It's like they work in pairs. First ref of the week takes out Hamer with a bullshit yellow card then this one doesn't give a blatant pen

I was frustrated with him allowing Dunkley to headbutt Max twice-both in first half I think (?). when he was clearly unable to get the ball. People criticised Max for being ineffective, but I cut him some slack, as I thought he may well have been affected - although, if so, should have come off.

I think both were accidental. It looked to me that Max’s head was moving backwards for flick ons
