Beavon has been shown around the Ricoh, thats all I know

Oh right, first i've heard of this! Certainly wouldn't be my 1st choice striker to bring in. Is he a target man? Don't know much about him.

Whats all this about Stuart Beavon? We would have to pay a fee and surely there is better quality out there? Hasnt got a great goal scoring record has he? Or am i wrong.

P.S Hello everyone :claping hands:

Scored 25 goals last season in league 1.

That sounds more appealing! Just i searched him on Wiki and it said 27 goals in 105 games for Wycombe which doesnt sound great! Should learn not to rely on Wiki.

How many of them have already gone to different clubs? I know Syers and Collins have gone elsewhere. Bruce would be a good shout i think

Lions boss ends interest in striker target

11:10am Thursday 5th July 201
KENNY Jackett has revealed he will not be following up his initial interest in Wycombe striker Stuart Beavon.

Beavon has been linked with a host of clubs this summer including the Lions, Sheffield United and Charlton after a prolific spell last year with the Chairboys.

And although Jackett this morning admitted the 28-year-old had been on his radar at one point, the Millwall manager has now ruled out taking the matter any further.

He told News Shopper: “I did make an enquiry to their manager Gary Waddock over the summer but it is not one that we are going to follow up on.”

Didn't realise they were under an embargo? Could take advantage of that...

STUART Beavon will report for pre-season training at Wycombe Wanderers tomorrow, but Gary Waddock admits his future is unclear after that.

He said: “Beavon will report back in for training tomorrow.

“[Under the embargo] players could go out, you just couldn’t bring players in so his situation is no different to what it was on the last day of last season.

“He reports back in tomorrow and we’ll see where we go from there.

“He’ll be wearing a training kit tomorrow. I can only guarantee today and tomorrow. Beyond that I don’t know.

“He’s under contract and he’ll report back in tomorrow.”

'Price has to be right for Beavon sale' says Blues boss
Jun 22 2012 By Greg Burns

CLUBS hoping to sign Wycombe striker Stuart Beavon have been warned they won't get him on the cheap.
The 28-year-old scored 25 goals for a struggling Wanderers side last season that ended in them suffering relegation back to League Two.
His blistering form has attracted the attention of a host of clubs with League One Sheffield United and Championship pair Charlton and Millwall reported to be chasing his signature.
Wanderers are facing a summer of cutbacks ahead of a takeover by Wycombe Wanderers Trust which could see clubs trying their luck with low transfer bids to bag a bargain.

But with one year left on Beavon's deal, Wycombe boss Gary Waddock said he won't be leaving unless the deal is right.
He said: “There is a lot of rumour and speculation about Beavon as we would expect because he is a wonderful player who had a fantastic season last year. But he is under contract with us and is still a Wycombe player at this moment.
“There is a value on Bevs and a price that any club interested in him would have to match that is for sure.”
