This. It’s the feeling of so close yet so far. We should be too good to go down and if we do then it’ll be because of silly mistakes.
Why should we be too good to go down? We're a newly promoted side playing with basically the same team as last season who have very little attacking threat. On paper we're one of the lesser sides in the league, as most promoted sides would expect to be without significant improvement to the squad.

he’s not good enough and Bakayoko is worse so to go in the campaign with two forwards remotely capable was insane. They are never going to make the grade even at league 1 it’s madness
It is weird being a championship club with 2 strikers most league 1 teams wouldn't even bother with. Need to upgrade ASAP.

Nobody will pay Baka's wages though so looks like we're stuck with the twat

Agreed but the plan was to have Walker and Godden fit but neither has been simultaneously, not really Robins fault. It's bad luck but we really really need reinforcements in January but doubt very much they'll arrive.

I assume that the wages of both do not equal that of a championship level striker, and they hoped Baka would turn into Lukaku overnight and would sell off Max, who told them where to go.

Got to start scoring some goals. We don't even threaten.

I thought we looked more threatening today than we have for a long while. Hamers delivery was off which meant we didn’t make enough of all the corners and free kicks we won, but I think we got the balance right first half and the subs conceded the midfield and nullified us. It’s gutting we conceded two soft goals because it wasn’t down to how we were playing. I bet we got back to ten men behind the ball now, which will be a shame.

If we could just get the finances right to enable us to bring in two or three quality players we’d be a real prospect in this division.

Fair point, forgot that 1.
1 in 94 games then.

Of course his worldies count & so do cup goals. I'm not a Biamou hater at all but think the worldies & the fact he's a good guy with a good story buys him a lot of leeway. His general play is not up to scratch.

He was the least of our problems tonight but yes he won next to nothing in the air.

Yeah, I agree. We need some sort of target man/taller forward. We put so many crosses in and it's a complete waste.

Because I’ve watched us for half a season and think we should be too good to go down if we can cut out silly mistakes.

It's just sickening losing games in this fashion, Preston almost looked embarrassed at how little they had to do for a free 2-0 win

Agree about Baka - i think a lot of L1 teams would have Max. especially as part of a front 2. of course we need better, but for that we need ££££, which few clubs have at the moment.

Fair points too. His first touch is the weakest part of the game for me, but I think his finishing is ok.

Robins said we were brilliant and even a draw wouldn’t be fair

I think we're missing Kelly massively, and don't really have a backup. I don't hate Sheaf but he's not a Kelly replacement, he's more a Kelly complement.

We desperately need a tall target man type striker. Someone who can get a head on some of the crosses we put in.

Then an attacking midfielder. Seen nothing in Shipley or Allen to say they can make the step up to this level as anything more than emergency backup.

Frustrated & angry
Given the game away
Got to stop doing it
We were on top
Have to get the shot away
They couldn’t live with us
Gave them the goals
Not enough tackles or blocks
Played brilliant stuff
Caused them all sorts of problems
It’s a strange one
We should of won
Shouldn’t of even been a draw
At times breathtaking
We have to shoot more
Had a lot of the ball
They defended well
