It’s all well and good saying he should have changed it at half time, but when the options you bring on are Shipley and Biamou it isn’t exactly an ideal solution. We were much worse after the subs, probably larger due to the drop in quality of the players replacing them. Our bench is extremely weak. As much as I hope it will, it’s unlikely to be improved significantly in January. We just have to learn to live with it and hope we have enough to stay up so we can build again

We were much worse after the subs today. The sad truth is that our bench is full of poor players who don't improve the first XI.
Marosi, Rose, Kelly & Walker all long term absences. They would mostly improve our starting 11 let alone our bench. Injuries have really hit us hard this year.

Would Walker or Rose get in the starting line up? I must say I've not been impressed with Walker at all, he is young and one for the future but you can see why forest were happy to let him go.

I agree that injuries haven't been kind to us. I do think Robins could have used his subs smarter and earlier.

Everyone could see what we were lacking. Did any of the substitutions improve us? If he changed at half time, would it have been any different?

Walker's 24, so not exactly a young hot prospect. That said, he's banged goals in for fun at a lower level, so he must have something about him. This season we're barely making any chances for our forwards to score, so with only scraps to work with it must be quite demoralising.

Walker didn't have a pre season with us and then got injured. I think there is a player there but he's adjusting to the role we want from him. I think he's a natural goalscorer though and would be good with Godden's industry up top. Rose has undoubted quality but was rushed back, just as we did with Dabo, fortunately in Dabo's cases after a knock, he got back to match fitness after some shaky displays. I think Rose would have done the same.

It’s simple. The team doesn’t perform without the leadership and experience of Kelly.
Then its on the management to ensure were not solely reliant on just one person for that leadership and draft in experienced players instead of spending money in the German 8th division on a player that plays in a position none of our formations use.
