Where’s the hate for O’hare come from? In fact, as I think about it, where’s the hate for any of our players come from? It was always going to be a big ask to stay up and at the moment we’re on track.

Edit: I turn the air blue most of the time when watching us.
Maybe because ohare is the most frustrating footballer we have. Constantly makes the wrong decisions and doesn't create anything

Didn't play badly, just two brain dead pieces of football from Sheaf and Wilson gifted Preston a 2 goal lead

Your ratings suggest we played badly

Endless running, scored a couple of goals, draws a large amount of fouls (thus creating free kick chances)...

He’s not perfect but I also think there’s more to come from him.

Running is a requirement for a footballer not an attribute. I could run for 90 minutes and give the ball to the opposition. Scored a goal but misses countless chances. He is good defensively but sadly he is meant to be our creative midfielder

O'hare expends a lot of energy and wins lots of free kicks for us to relieve pressure at times but does get caught on the ball an awful lot and concedes possession but he is definitely one of our better players he just needs someone to direct him more on the pitch and channel his energy more

According to Transfermarkt it was Brum in the cup last season.

Brandon Mason has more assists for us this season.

Only Godden has more than one assist - it’s a pointless stat

Tbf O'Hhare has played 2, 175 minutes since his last assist. Thats a long time for an attacking midfielder / number 10 to go without an assist.

I rate him, but he has gone from being an impact sub in league 1 to starting every game and being the player you're looking to create chances, which he isn't at the minute. He is incredibly frustrating, and does not create enough, in fact as a team we don't create enough. We were the better team yesterday, but didn't create one clear cut chance.

O’Hare is either an impact sub or a foil for a midfield terrier / general.

We miss Kelly and for a long while we had Doyle doing that job (not really replaced) and in a way, Walsh.

There’s no one in the squad at the moment, Sheaf isn’t that kind of player. Maybe bring in someone in in Jan.

The only (and I don’t care if I’m shot down) other alternative is to put McCallum right, Giles left, Dabo sitting the middle / box-to-box. He’s bulky / strong enough to hold that role IMHO.

I really can't believe the low ratings people were giving, it's like the king's new clothes on here , someone says we're shit and everyone on that band wagon, fuckin creatins.
We blew Preston away with our quick passing and movement, they couldn't keep with us , I'm not saying that we didn't lack finishing ,that wasn't any good , but I agree with robins when he said we should have won that game not even a draw. I can see the frustration when we give goals away but to say we were shit just isn't true.
And hamer was awful Mr Grendel ( I know you just want a reaction) bollox utter fucking twaoddle.

Totally right mate.

Hamer misplaced a few paces but played really well. Maybe not quite at the level of the Wycombe match but still a classy performance. Dabo was great too and Ostigard and McFadzean played well.

From 60 minutes onwards it was clear to anyone we had no threat. Blowing teams away then bollocking it up near the box isn’t really blowing anyone away

Do you think if we lost a game 8-0 but played nice passing football people would still say we played well? It feels like some people's criteria for a good performance is based purely on how many quick short passes we can play in midfield without threatening the opposition goal.

Scored 2 I believe.
Think we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one.

It's amazing which stats you deem to be important and revealing and which pointless, esp as they just seem to follow those players you think to be useless and those you think bring value.

Had Biamou scored 10 goals and made no assists yet the other strikers made countless assists and got no goals I've no doubt you'd claim the scoring of the goals to be unimportant as that's the easy bit but creating the chances which enable the goals to be scored to be absolutely vital.

Tbf to @Grendel his point about assists is one he’s made before. I only remember this because I agree with it. Assist stats are an absolute nonsense.

O'Hare is dogshit and we need to replace.
Giles is dogshit and we need to replace.
Godden is dogshit and we need to replace.
Sheaf is dogshit and we need to replace.
Marosi/Wilson are both dogshit and we need to replace.

Shipley is dogshit and we need to get rid.

The top five there are all players that are lauded (maybe not so much Sheaf) on this forum pretty much universally. I think we'll stay up this season because we'll pick up random three points every now and then, and, remarkably, I believe there are a few teams shitter than we are (Wycombe and Rotherham being the main two), but if we're serious about ever making a push into the top half of the table, we need to find worthy, Championship-level replacements for these players.

I agree that assist stats alone are not the be all because it is dependent on someone else putting the ball away. However key passes is perhaps more of an indicator.
I like O'Hare for his endeavour and clearly has potential. If we had a better squad I think he would be better at the moment as an impact sub. I have watched all bar one games this season and he has caused me more moments of frustration than anyone else, due to his final ball.
I agree with some other posters on here that he needs a mature head alongside to guide him. He is young and I believe he will do well but at the moment it's not happening.

Interesting, thanks for posting these and the other ones. I agree with the poster above that key passes would be a greater indicator of creativity than assists. 0.5 seems low for a player in his position, how does that compare to other players in our team and the league as a whole?
