Thought I'd start a thread even though I wasn't really concentrating on the game. I spent half my time unsuccessfully trying to synch Clive & Oggy with my stream and the other half trying to learn Arabic on the fly.

From what I saw it seemed he was missing a lot of fouls
Overall rating. I'll have to let someone else start

Thought he was ok. Nothing really contentious. He didn’t have a lot to do really other than the Rudd incident at half time which I thought he dealt with quite well.

I didn't realize he'd blown for half time and thought he was giving a drop ball

Ref was ok. No glaring errors. Thought he allowed players a bit of licence on a slippy pitch and was largely up with play.
Sheaf should have gone down in box first half to make ref make a decision.

Thought he was lenient with a couple of our challenges, Ostigard should have been booked first half for the lunge after his shit touch and Dabo could have gone in the book 2nd half too

Stroud is one of the better Officials at this level but his age has probably caught up with him and is the reason he has not progressed any further.
Let one or two things go in my opinion (some would say this is good refereeing) but that can come back and haunt you at times.
Having said that there were a couple of decent advantages and from a neutrals point of view (this forum is obviously biased) a solid 8/10 performance.

Ref was fine. No complaints there. My complaints are with the soft/stupid goals we gave away and our hesitancy to shoot at goal or taking one touch too many when we were within striking distance. after taking several steps forward in recent weeks, this seems like a huge step backward. We could have won this.

As you may or may not know I don't like refs but I think he was ok last night so a tick from me
You don’t like Refs? Nothing like a preconceived opinion even before a ball is kicked.

I cast the game from i-follow onto my TV which meant I had to have the home audio and unsurprisingly the Preston commentary team thought he was too lenient on a number of sky-blue challenges which shows us fans are seldom happy with a ref's performance regardless of our allegiances.

Its my opinion based on my own personal experience...I don't like little hitlers who can do no wrong and as I have said before I have never had a yellow card or a red card so its not a bitter thing but I have played in many a game with these little hitlers spoiling them! Along with the sub standard of refereeing we see most weeks......
Also you will note on the post that I commented in that I did say the ref got a tick from me , meaning he had a good game so not pre conceived at all...get off your ref horse !!

i AGREE WITH jOHHNY BLUE

There were an awful lot of pushes and pull backs - - mostly in favour PNE

If you watch the number of times city appealed but got nothing - in the end they just shrugged the shoulder looking at the bench

Thanks. No-one’s ever agreed with me before.
