The left/right stuff always triggers me because;
1. I genuinely don't understand how anyone can be that much of a dick to be right wing.
I'm sure that will start a few conversations.
2. The very person I am automatically makes me left wing. Anything remotely aimed towards something even as basic and racial equality is deemed left wing ffs.

I'm out. Need a beer.

I mean you all put things accross in a way that I don't, I take the long way round...start off with decent intentions then Usually start a fight Inbetween, then agree and apologise...

I dont even disagree ffs 🤔

I'm fucking mental I swear

It's usually how things go at home, missus thinks something... I agree but add a what about scenario.... take the long route round in agreeing which can lead to a bicker... But the I agree and apologise lol... Fucked up

Nah just good mental hygiene man, that’s what I tell myself. Got to pass new info through a rigorous process of argument to see if it holds up. As long as you aren’t to attached to preconceived ideas what’s the harm (other than potential relationship harm 😂) ?

Not dissimilar myself. Eased off as I've got older, but stuff like the above I can't do it.

I mean I know I'm wrong and I have no argument... It's just me trying to hold my pride which is pathetic really
A like for the self reflection, rather than a liking for you being pathetic.

Thought I'd best clarify ;)

Either one is fine... Serious work needed personally.. I've mentioned before alot of problems came about after I left the forces.. Need to make peace with myself tbh and stop looking for a problem.
Moral of the story, if you're wrong just own it and stop digging

What bugs me is the low level bigotry of collecting a bunch of people together as 'the left'. That's like me suggesting 'the right' are all racists, or 'the centre ground' is full of mid-50s people with beards and jumpers, who are socially awkward.

You can be left in many forms. Hell, you can be left in certain policy areas and vote for a seemingly righty candidate.

Anybody who decides 'the left' is a collective should probably be on the radar for their performance of higher level bigotry. It shows lazy mind, sloppy thought, and a high level of moron.

tbh anybody who recognises they're not perfect is probably a damned site closer to being a decent human being than somebody who thinks they're God's gift.

See: Donald Trump, given which thread we're on!

Tbf, Hill literally just described 'the right' as a collective and wrote them all off as dicks.

I'm playing the game. I don't genuinely see people as left and right.

More has a helmet or a legend.

Edit: I actually meant as a helmet, but has a helmet is actually better.

Thats fair. I try not to judge people on their politics, unless their politics are extreme of course. I've met utter tosspots that carry many different political ideologies.

tbf, I'd struggle to marry a righty - is OK when you can just sod off from the pub if someone talks politics you disagree with, the thought of being stuck in the house 24/7 with a pro-Trump zealot would have resulted in divorce!

Struggle enough to bite my tongue round my Uncle!

I've just seen the video of the woman being shot. It's horrific and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that doesn't have a tough stomach.

She shouldn't have been in there, but fuck me. Absolute execution. What was weird was when the camera pans round there are armed police stood behind her.

Sounds grim, struggle to watch things like that.

Where was the footage from? Security camera or some prick with a camera phone?

Racial equality shouldn't be a discussion. Surely it is about solving the problem, just perhaps people have different methods in how they think it should be solved. I'm not sure how some people think sometimes. I don't know how people could think differently about others with different skin colour so it's hard to imagine there could be so many of them about.

In fairness, I'm a bit guilty of throwing round the lefty right stuff, so sorry if that comes across in a bad way. I guess I just get pissed off getting called a righty etc myself, even though I'm far from it. I certainly have a lot more conservative views than a lot on here, given, but even today after I called Trump out directly people were piling in.

Nah fair enough, the thing is it is a discussion.

Yeah, it was a camera phone by the looks of it.

The other frightening thing was that standing next to the person with a camera was a whole army of people with fucking selfie sticks and go pros etc. You are half expecting Brad Pitt and Kylie Minogue to walk up the stairs, but in reality some woman is bleeding out on the floor.

It's like a fucking hollywood movie.

Whats a righty though? Plenty of moderate Conservatives won't be raging Trumpists. Just as there's moderate lefties and Commies... moderate lefties are fine, Commies are cunts.

I saw news footage last night of who I assume was the same woman being stretchered out covered in blood, don't think I could handle seeing how it happened.

The worry has to be a public inauguration event that Trump clearly doesn't think should be happening, he's said he's transitioning peacefully but will he be asking the same of his more fervent followers? First ever inauguration over Zoom, get it done

I've seen it and it's horrible. I just don't know why they didn't go in there with their mad riot gear and kick them out.

I really don't think they should be uploading that.
It's surely come from someone on the 'same side' as well.

Just watched it. Looks like another panicking American with a gun. She shouldn't be doing what she's doing but the footage couldn't be more American if it tried. Horrible stuff.

With talk of bombs and her wearing a backpack though. But then there was shit loads of other people with backpacks mincing about with feet up on desks etc. The cross eyed loons.

Edit now I've seen more videos: Absolutely the correct decision to shoot.

It looked as if the row of people with cameras were trump supporters filming everything going on. It only looked like 4 or 5 people were actually trying to break the barricade.

Even if that person didn't upload it I reckon there was another 10 cameras that caught it.
