Do We Think SISU Are Changing? (12 Viewers)

In the close season of 83/84 we got rid of about 10 players, thats including Garry Thompson who left just before the end of that season, difference was Bobby Gould was allowed to bring in replacements. SISU don't seem to grasp if you sell players they normally need replacing. We needed atleast 4 players when the season ended since then around 7 have are left or intend to, to me that makes a need for 11 newcommers, to compete.

11

Really ?

I hoenstly believe we are 2 away, if we dont sell anyone else

11 would mean we have a squad of 35 or so

I'd agree 11 is a bit much but we deffinately need more than 2. Another striker is a must aswell as a couple of midfielders and a Defender

Most definitely need more than 2, unless we intend relying on kids once again.

With 2 "NEWBY'S", we would have....

---------------Murphy----------------
Clarke-----Keogh---Wood----Hussey
Fleck------Deegan----NEWBY--Sheff
----------NEWBY-------Cody-----------

With a back up team of

---------------Dunn---------------------
Christie---Wilis----Cameron-----Kilbane
----Roberts----Thomas----Ruffles-----
--------Elliott--Jeffers----RoD---------

That leaves, Philips, Burge, Henderson, Daneils, Wilson

So just 6 players needed for your Backup team then ...
4 players needed imo a CB,CF and a couple of Midfielders (any position )
but..............
I expect a couple more to have" put pen to paper " by midweek!!! :claping hands:
How will they fit into AT 433 new formation

Amazing just how many naysayers are suddenly now such SISU fans, isn't it? Based on what I'm not too sure. This leopard will never change it's spots, it simply isn't CAPABLE of it!

agree with that, but i have to say we are League One..

If we were premierhsip we would need the cover, but with 2 decent additions and no more sales, we would have a decent squad for this division

We need to replace:

Cranie
Bigi (Replaced by Fleck)
Norwood
Clingan (Replaced by Kilbane)
Platt
Nimley (Replaced by Elliott)

So minimum we need a CB, CM and a target man CF

Then we need a couple more for the squad.

Keogh leaves then add another CB.

McPake, Eastwood etc don't count as they were never involved.

Currently RoD is back in the squad till further notice.

" a decent squad FOR THIS DIVISION you say. I think you are seriously underestimating this division. In recent seasons we have seen Southampton, Norwich, Swansea and Blackpool come out of Div. 1 and sail through the championship straight imto the Prem. That indicates to me perhaps it's the championship which we consistantly struggled with that is a bit easier.

Norwich and Southampton were relegated from the championship so it can't be that easy.

However bigi's wages did not count towards FFP. Whereas if they do replace him that players wages will

except we wont be paying out £1m (reportedly Bigi's sale price) on any one players wages and the limit of what we can actually spend is extended by £650k because of the sale don

I thought you'd turned pro shitsu cos we had signed 3 players?

WHAT ?

2 weeks ago I was convinced they we not going to sign anyone and we were going down this season.

3 signings and promise of a couple more later makes me think we might actaully stay in this league and not go down again.

If that makes me pro sisu, then god help us !

They arent getting 1p of my money.

We won't be spending any money (cash that is) at all. All our signings will be freebies or loans, which can be okay but you need some luck for them all to come off.

Although budgets remain constrained there is evidently a far more strategic business plan. At least now a strategy is in place. There is a stronger management team (including Fisher and Waggott) and this will reflect in a better focus throughout the club from youth team development through to the first team.

It will never be an ideal but it is better than what we had.
