Mrs TGP has had her first jab this morning and said she didn’t feel the microchip going in
Is anyone else starting to feel throughly depressed by it all.
You look online and see in Florida packed theme parks. Americans Jetting off all over the Caribbean.
Yet here we are sat in an endless merry go round of lockdowns.

Spot on Steve, I've said before that the supermarket management seem to have fucked it all off, putting their hard working staff at greater risk
Staff are at fault then? What do we do fine the staff?I was in one on Sunday and it was bizarre - loads of staff loading shelves and I assume getting stuff for driver deliveries and in one aisle there were 6 staff blocking the way and standing inches from customers
How lax the rules got in summer? Can you please point out how severe the rules got at any time. The frustrating thing for me is how lax the rules got in the summer. Do you think we were all naive as a nation to think that we had gotten over the worst of it. I was just speaking to a friend about how much people were able to do then compared to now.
Oh yes. Much better to have empty shelves and for those shielding from the virus to do their own shopping than yourself to do the rest of your shopping and then go down that aisle later.I was in one on Sunday and it was bizarre - loads of staff loading shelves and I assume getting stuff for driver deliveries and in one aisle there were 6 staff blocking the way and standing inches from customers
I mean in regards to what is open and how people are legally allowed to interact. No need to be an arse. How lax the rules got in summer? Can you please point out how severe the rules got at any time.
Have you read the posts from those of us that live elsewhere than the UK?
I am a keyworker. I have been allowed out all the way through lockdowns because of what I do in my spare time. Other than for a couple of weeks I have hardly seen any difference to normal on the streets. Shall we compare it to elsewhere?
My wife and youngest children live in France. During their lockdowns they had to fill out forms....later an app was made available. They had to say where they were leaving, what time they were leaving, where they were going and why. You were only allowed out for certain reasons. The Gendarmes had roadblocks checking paperwork. If you had taken too long or was considered off route you got a fine. It doubled each time. If you reached a certain amount of fines you ended up in prison.
Their last lockdown ended halfway through December. Presently if you live in an area without much of a virus risk you have an 8pm curfew. If you live in an at risk area you have a 6pm curfew. All pubs/restaurants and non essential places are still closed. The Gendarmes stop everyone out after these times. My wife got stopped on her way home back to France. She has now had a few times with Gendarmes with their guns. And this isn't even in lockdown.
To me this has been our biggest problem. No serious lockdown and no visual deterrent. No proof of how long or what anyone is doing.
At least we have been able to go for a drive to check our eyesight.

Hmm, not convinced Americans acting as normal will be wise for them...
Anyway, it's all personalities I guess. Me? I'm happier now we have a semblance of a proper lockdown. Watched all of Peep Show in the last one, taken the free trial of Britbox in this one, to watch all of Only Fools and Horses!
was a good interview with a police office on 5live yesterday on about the difficulties of policing this and what is legally within their remit.
just been out and about and I think shops have been told to tighten up on their covid protocols. Certainly seemed to be a bit more on top than of recently .
Aldi in Cannon Park even had council inspectors in there as well when I was in there. Easy on a Monday afternoon when it's quiet though, let's see what happens at the weekend.
I mean it's all relative isn't it and he is clearly talking about lax compared what what it was previously in this country. You are then changing the benchmark to be other countries - and your post is a bit aggressiveNo need to be an arse?
Can you explain this as it is yourself who seems to be being an arse with your comment. All I have done is explain what others have done compared to the UK.
Oh yes. Much better to have empty shelves and for those shielding from the virus to do their own shopping than yourself to do the rest of your shopping and then go down that aisle later.
No lockdown exists while you can mix with other households for “exercise”
.....If it was a simple & innocent walk, I'd agree.
But bearing in mind I've now seen about a dozen different photos (all clearly taken by a 3rd person) of the pair parading & posing in different outfits, all whilst clutching their coffee chain cups (logo firmly forward) I'd double the fine.
Pair of attention seeking twats.
Oh pipe the fuck down you jizz trumpet, the went for a walk that doesn't break the law and you act like c**t.
Um you can mix with one other person can’t you?No lockdown exists while you can mix with other households for “exercise”

It was more I thought I knew this one and maybe I’d got this wrong tooSorry yes you can one other person from another household. I guess the point is on one hand we are told things are worse than last year yet this is more liberal
I didn't think you could mix with other households?
