There is a stronger management team (including Fisher and Waggott) and this will reflect in a better focus throughout the club from youth team development through to the first team.

It will never be an ideal but it is better than what we had.

The business plan is very clear, sell our promising youngsters and bring in 35 year old cripples who can't find anyone else to take them on. Not really a great plan for the future though. How can we accept this as our clubs business plan, the club has no future at all.

I've just read we've just offered contracts to Martin Keown, Tony Adams and Lee Dixon, so we can sell Clarke,Thomas and Christie.
Going on this, we'd all think thats good business also and a brilliant plan for the future.

When will people finally get it, we have no future under SISU, and hardly any of us are doing anything about it.

I wouldn't call Kilbane a cripple. His experience will be vital for the young lads.

However one of the biggest gripes is the youth of the squad. Another gripe was letting platt go. Kilbane it is suggested will join the management team at some point do again a strategy of succession planning is in place.

As for the same of an unproven novice for money this represents short term commercial sense. The aim has to be promotion and the 3 signings are likely to be more impactful than him. I think there is a lot of emotion in the resentment. Emotion generally is a weak arm of business strategy, clinical anysis and strategic planning is stronger and usually more successful.

Do you really believe that or are you pissed ? Things will get a whole lot worse the longer these types are running the show. THERE'S NO MONEY COMING IN, NONE, ZILCH. Just vastly reduced gate reciepts. Nothing was done last year with treble the money coming in than this year.

I can confirm there is absolutely no emotion in my statement. I was talking long term, i thought short term thinking/planning is what we all wanted rid of, and i believe has been said by SISU. Thinking short term in a business sense is why so many of them have gone tits up.

There is absolutely no long term planning and a business should always plan for the future, and in my mind just common sense, but if you think differently and that we should take yet one more gamble to try and get up,(just like SISU did when they first got here), then thats your perogative. If you think selling youngsters and bringing in old crocks is stategic planning, worrys me if you have a business and if you have ,its future

Which old CROCK have we brought in Rev?

We suffered last season through lack of experience. We have brought in a player that has well over 700 games under his belt, including 110 internationals. So he is 35. Let's say he broke through at 18. So in 17 years as a pro he has played over 700 games. That is over 40 games a season year after year spanning about 17 years, but some on here are trying to say he is injury prone to make out he is a sh!te signing  He will help our younger players vastly as well as getting a class player. We could have another Dennis Wise situation, but this time from the start of the season.

Wisey was probably one of the best signings made in our 11 years since the PL. 5 years older than Kilbane too-anyone remember that overhead kick at Hull?

Young lads like Bigirimana..............oops, forgot we'd sold him for a pittance.

So that makes Kilbane a crap signing?

I am not saying I didn't want Bigi to go. We have not suddenly become a selling club though. I remember when we bought Keane. I thought things had changed. How long did that last?

Oh and we sold him for a pittance. How much did we get for him? Do you know? Newcastle knew there were a fair few teams after him. Would this have not put the price up?

Astute , he would have naturally played a lot more when he was a youngster than he could now and Now is all i'm interested in. He suffers from a back condition, and in the last two years, hence more recent than when he was 19, he has played a lot less. All i am saying, and i think we all agree,is that Kilbane will play now and then, and if he plays one third of the games we're going to have to play this season, it will be a miracle.

Didn't say anything about KK being a 'crap signing'. Just highlighting the irony - KK will help the younger players, yet we've sold one of our most promising youngsters for a pittance.

Those initials will forever be tarnished by that useless donkey we gave Sunderland £600k for.

Why are you worried Eleanor? You have already assured us the Hoff us coming to save us. A few I's and T's to cross isn't it?

You could give Bobby Davro a run in the comedic stakes.:facepalm:

At least we will be going ...

I can understand your hatred towards sisu, but I fail to understand why you (and in fairness a few others - you are not alone) need to label your fellow fans 'sisu lovers'. I don't think there are any sisu lovers on this board - and possibly not on the entire planet.
