He 'hates' inequality so much he wanted to bring back the two-tier o-level/CSE system that would have caused inequality before being whipped by Clegg and Cameron.
This is just one of a number of clueless initiatives.
There is a lot of things wrong with the education system but there's also a lot of good things about it, it's not broken it just needs a bit of reshaping.

fair comment, but on the whole, I get on with LBB....so this suggests where the angst starts from.....
Honestly can 2 people not share the same typing style, manner in which points are put across and general demeanor without being accused of being the same person
Theres a lot of Ideology Implemented under the guise of economic downturn .But then theres Education along with Health being used as a political football for the last 40 yrs,and it has'nt helped the Country ,the Kids ,the Business world and more importantly the Teachers , forever moving the goalposts and devaluing the Profession . I'm not sure he's wrong as such in that all kids can't go to University though Laudible and Desirable, CSE's were proven to still give sound education to the likes of me in the 70's for Manufacturing, Manual Construction, and Engeneering type careers,plenty of post School opporotunities to gain decent further qualification to garner the skills for each path chosen .This may come over as age related but i did get the impression as my kids went through the system they were basically coached to pass rather than taught ,then add in the restricted ultra concentrated curriculum
I could go on forever so one last thing ,My Daughters Degree course involves less hours than My BTEC.
