He was a free transfer?
I think Robins released him, as Lameiras didn't want to play in league two?
i mean he’s a free transfer now

Not at any match I ever watched except when he played a blinder against us at Plymouth.Agreed, he was a hard worker as well
He went from one Portuguese team to another in early January, no idea if there was a transfer fee involved.
What I don’t get is why his old club let one of their best players go, mid season, to a club nearer the top of the same league, in the middle of his contract, for nothing? Transfermarkt have all his fees as “no fee” apart from that one which is “?”. Odd.No, free transfer. Not sure he's ever moved for a fee has he?

Also this (with a double entendre URL for giggles):
Ah, that would explain it. Cheers. What a website name!
Plymouth Herald suggesting it was a player swap deal. The player going the other way is no great shakes though.

Think it will be the first game of season away at Millwall for me.My lasting memory of him (apart from him ruining my away day at Plymouth) is writhing around in agony after that Sheffield United prick McEvely or something went through him.
And he had chances to score but never looked like scoring...but the pies were good, I had 2Still remember that horrendous tackle on him at Shef Utd that the ref took no action over
The best attacking four we had in that season under Mowbray was:
O'Brien - Maddison - Lameiras
Armstrong
Every time that played (bear in mind Vincelot and Fleck were in just behind them) we won most games.
Murphy contributed more than all of the other 3 midfielders you've listed there put together that season!
