I've always liked direction of our acquisition strategy - none of that Cole-Ramage-Hunt bollox as under Mowbray. There are bound to be cock ups, but so far we have had very few duds in nearly four years. I don't count the youth players, where there is bound to be a lot of churn. This guy appears to be a cut above that. Bear in mind the Under 23 striker cupboard is pretty bare.

Let's see the lad play before casting judgement.

Good luck to the lad but I know early season a National League North side were looking at him but only as an impact sub. They were really struggling at the time too and I don’t know if there was an approach of any kind but that said a lot to me.

Our u23’s is currently stacked full of bombed out senior players and 18 year olds. Makes sense to sign players for there.

Personally I'm all for signings like this as we have had some good success with them in recent years
