Good window really. James and Gyo add quality and cover, got a few young talents in but most importantly kept hold of our key men*

Surprised Eccles hasn’t gone anywhere on loan (apologies if loan window doesn’t close today?). He’s looked full of potential when I’ve seen him play and you’d think he’s behind Kelly, James, Hamer, Sheaf and potentially even Allen if he plays deeper, for the CM spots.

Potentially argue the same for Bapaga, as playing regularly even in L2 would be better than the odd 5 minute cameo and U23’s. Albeit not in the same camp as Eccles as he’s younger and not as experienced so I understand us protecting him a bit more.

See Rooney has been using his Utd contacts to sign a decent CB who has played in Europe for them already. They will be clearly away from the bottom 3 soon.

How they signing players ? Last I heard they couldn’t pay their own players wages

Cameron Borthwick Jackson played 15 games for United in the league. He’s now struggling at Oldham.

Can’t complain. Lost Giles and replaced him with a very good upcoming youngster in Reid on a perm. James and Zlatan are good signings. Fabio one for the future but already played L1 football. Also we have Eccles back for cover in central mid.

Back from injuries are Marko, Rose and Walker.

Hilsner and Kasta out on loan to improve fitness or last chance to impress (Kasta). Also puts them in the shop window.

Squad depth much better.

We've played half the season and we're 7 points clear of the relegation zone. We've been missing Godden and Marosi and Kelly for large chunks of that. Everything else being equal, the best prediction would be 14 points clear at the end. By thinking we may go down, you're imagining a massively worse second half giving away a 7 point handicap advantage.

And we've let nobody go yet who would realistically play in the first team and brought in two. How can that be weakening?

Maybe we will go down but I see no reason to be pessimistic at this stage.

12 points, my bad. :(
