His runs show no intelligence today. It's like he is jogging until o hare is forced to go wide.

As another poster said he needs to be pulling wide and making space. Not just running in a straight line

I agree, he's led the line really well occupied defenders which has created space to O'Hare. The Biamou bashing is ridiculous. Yes, he is limited, but fuck me there is no need for the vitriol he is getting.

He's our third choice striker for a reason. Gyorkeres won't occupy the defenders like Max does. Leave it as it is for now.

I don't think it's lack of effort I think it's lack of awareness.
I like Max and he's a trier but he's not at this level.
We won't be able to majorly overhaul our strike force in the summer if we stay up, hopefully bring in someone better than we've got and move Godden, Walker and Max down the pecking order with Max 4th choice.

100%, he's a trier, can't fault his effort & he can grab a special goal now & then but his all round play is so far off.

Doing well. can't help but think if we had Godden back we are ahead. Two very clear cut opportunities, Hyam and O'Hare's shot (expecting a tackle and penalty) Max not quite on it and lacks pace where maybe Gykeres would do better? Got to get our wing backs into the forward play a bit more, they have neutralised Costa so far. All in all good but we just need to step it up a bit. james holding it together well in front of back three.

Definitely. Max makes the most of what he’s got. Works hard, holds the ball up but he’s not a finisher and will never score the goals we need at this level. Can’t knock him for that though.

So frustrating because we’ve been excellent so far but you can just see their manager regrouping at half-time, changing things and them getting into the game. Really hope we haven’t missed our chance while we were on top.

Playing some good stuff and not overawed by Watford or panicky after the forest result. Every player contributing...and all giving 100%. It’s easy to say biamou or whoever not good enough...but he wouldn’t be in the squad if all our players fit...that’s the way the season goes.
I know the second half will be difficult but the team has given us a lot to cheer and be positive about so far

Last season when we went up, it was because a striker like godden was taking his chances at Ipswich, Sunderland, Rotherham, pompey... It makes all the difference and its persistently costing us
