I'd love Washington to have a go at picking him up but we've really got too many holes to fill to splash out on his contract and all the picks it will take.

The Colts would be best placed usually but Taxans will be reluctant to trade him in the division. I guess it depends how much he uses his clause to his advantage. I see some mad Saints fans are after him even though they're in the hole for about 75 mil next year.

Ideally for the Texans (if they have to trade him) it's either a massive haul over a short period of time (which is basically either Jets or Dolphins) or it's to the NFC - which would have to be more player swap based. Watson at the 49ers . Do like deluded Rams fans thinking a straight swap for Hoff would be enough.
But some teams won't touch him as a lot of owners aren't going to like the concept of a big player and his agent dictating terms and wanting an input on how a team is run. (Not a great situation for coaches either). What's to say he doesn't pull the same stunt in a couple of years if he doesn't get his way (and a team has mortgaged their future to get him).
Probably comes down to Jets and Dolphins. But the way NFL works will other owners be onto McNair putting pressure on not to fold due to the precedent it could set? Anyone thinking Jerry Jones won't be able to keep quiet on that:)

Rams manage to offload Goff but that's a big price to pay for Stafford. Basically giving away 2 firsts just to offload Goff's contract.
Just goes to show you can offload any contract in a cap system. Plus gives an indication of what Houston could get for Watson if they trade him.
Plus not sure I see Campbell and Goff as a natural fit. Don't see Goff biting kneecaps :)

Rams must have really had enough of Goff.

I'm not sure I like the deal but like the philosophy. "Don't be happy with 10-6, go for the Championship. " Something Vikings owners would never go.
This deal pushes NFC teams to be more aggressive as Rams should be better although still have key players entering free agency. I expect 49ers to react aggressively. Maybe even an attempt to get Rodgers. Ideally they go for Cousins :)

I'm a bit gutted because I really wanted Stafford in Washington. LA really in win now or oblivion for a number of years mode. 2 firsts and a third which is basically the cost of getting rid of the stupid contract they handed out. How could Detroit say no.

So Rams will have an 8 year gap between their last ( Goff) and their next 1st round pick in 2024. Going to be some holes in that roster soon with salary cap if keep relying on free agency.

Stafford wasn't Rams first choice. Had approached Packers about Rodgers first but told no.
So far seems Carolina, Washington and 2 others had offered at least a 1st for Stafford. Only team Stafford refused to go to was long-time suitor -the Patriots (because they had hired Patricia).

Silly season for QB market. Apparently some silly offers for Wentz now - particularly from the Bears reportedly.

Tough one.

I really don't mind who wins. Both have great quarterbacks. Kansas are the better team, but I have a sneaky feeling the Bucs may just do it.

I'm going to be rooting for the Bucs. I don't like the guy Brady but he is the best ever and winning it at a different team with a different coach in a different conference shuts down one of the few arguments people have against him.

My eyes may be playing tricks on me but that looks like a lot of non-cardboard people in that crowd.

Only thing in the Chiefs favour is the fact that despite all the penalties and misfires and their playing really poorly, they are still just two scores behind and we all know what Mahomes is capable of.

They are lucky they aren't further behind.

The Bucs defence has to be at their very best in the second half to keep Mahomes quiet.

Without protection even Mahomes will struggle. Vikings released Remmers and that's with our terrible O line. He's getting murdered.

But Chiefs defence got to stop giving refs a chance to throw flags - a couple of very soft calls there. 2 of those pass interference calls looked like dubious catchable balls.

That's true, but he is also such a dangerous runner too. Bucs need to keep doing what they are doing and not let up.

Game probably over. Mahomes having to take risks off the back foot. Buccs going to run the clock from now.
