Marosi is terrible at dominating the 6 yard box and can't catch or deal with crosses
I remember readng that when he was at Doncaster the coaching staff told him to stay on his line
I can see why they said that

I'd put Wilson back in tbh - we need people to fight for places and be aware consequences if have a shit game!
Marosi at fault for goals 2 and 3 should have stopped the third and abysmal punch for the second.

I'd shake the team up in terms of personnel and formation for the Norwich game which is of sorts a free hit anyhow!

He’s not usually that bad, but no question he was dreadful today. I doubt he’d have been bought back into the starting XI so soon were it not for Wilson’s COVID test, and I have to wonder if he’s still not ready/adjusting to playing with the mask. If Wilson is the better option at this point then we just have to accept that our keepers aren’t going to help us secure any points anytime soon.

I don't think there is much between our goalkeepers but I doubt Wilson would have lost his place (barring a howler) if he hadn't caught covid. As pointed out Marosi has never been one for commanding his box anyway, but he probably needed more time to not just physically get over his injury but mentally get over it too. Playing the team against whom he got the injury was always going to be a test for him, and was one he unfortunately failed. The writing was already on the wall regarding the long throw tactic before the goal, when he had been very fortunate to get a free kick from another throw in where he wasn't strong enough and which he had flapped at.

I honestly think Wilson would've done a better job today. I actually would've been happy him satying in goal and make Marosi earn his place back.

Let's be fair to Wilson, most of the goals conceded were penalties and I can only remember fucking up once. Marosi has fucked up more times in his last couple of games, particuarly today.

I agree that Wilson was unlucky with the covid test - we know the strength of Marosi isn't command of the areas.
Likewise, Wilson gave a variety of options - rolling to back four and also kicking/throwing long which started some attacks.
BUT, I still think that Marosi (and Wilson in previous games) have been let down by serious defensive errors.
If a team of youngsters (I mean school children) were giving away so many penalties (usually by diving in), passing to opposition in dangerous positions rather than playing it long or switching off at free kicks, it isn't the keeper I'd be blaming first!

Back in Tuesday Marosi was awful today, with Wilson having that run in the team it’s so obvious how little Marosi commands his defence and box
You were one of those saying Marosi should go straight back in

I would keep Marosi in the team, primarily, as it's a game we are likely to ship a couple. If we select Wilson and loose by a few we will need to consider swapping back!! I would allow Marosi to play, hopefully make up for the errors and if not after another loss the swap back seems more logical.

He was good last season, but has looked shaky this year. He isn't the only one either.

So many of our players look shadows of their former selves. I wouldn't particularly attribute that to the increase in quality they are up against either. So many basics being failed.

Hardly tested last year he still made mistakes tho didn’t he Rotherham Pompey away to name a couple

“we play lovely stuff” our build up play is pedestrian we miss the outlet at times giles gave us that pace on the attack...

Yes, he made a few mistakes but he more than made up for them.

Some people have really short memories. There was a time when there were an infinite amount of comments about how good it was to have an upgrade of Burge.

Our back line was strong last year and the reason we went up was because of it. We barely scored more than one goal a game and I have been saying for ages we needed to prioritise strengthening there. Now we are against better opponents and the players confidence is in their boots. Being a defender or goalkeeper is also really hard when you have no faith in your team's ability to score.

Marosi himself looks like a shell of last season.

Marosi was part of our terrible form at the start of the season and our best points tally has come with Wilson in the team.

Wilson is a better all round keeper from what I’ve seen of him now. Commands the box better, stronger coming out at players, better kicking and doesn’t cock about at the back. Marosi had it good last year with the best defence in the league and never really got tested and that was in L1. Marosi doesn’t give me any confidence. I admit I’m surprised how well Wilson has done and has proved us all wrong. He deserves the shirt back.

We aren’t in the part of the season for sentiment. Wilson must come back in.

It looks like they are oozed in learned helplessness.

No time for niceness to marosi, that second goal today was absolutely pathetic. You just simply don’t see championship goalies making errors like that.

He looked petrified to go near Morrison and just gifted them a goal because of it

Not reactionary - for some it has been apparent

Link is what I posted in September.

Look at some of the reaction to it!

I don’t have a problem with someone suggesting Marosi isn’t good enough, I have a problem with people suggesting Wilson is any better. He dropped mistake after mistake that went unpunished which people are putting aside. Marosis awful mistake today was punished.

Our next games are norwich Swansea brentford. Those who want marosi out, what are you doing when we get an inevitable stuffing by one of those? GK can be so fragile on confidence if dropped and I doubt bilsson is ready it could ruin him. Yes wilson had our best results run but he didn't play against that horrible run of fixtures first time around either. I agree on a summer replacement if we remain Championship but not sure changing again now is beneficial to either keeper or the squad as a whole.

Wilson's long distribution is far better than Marosi. He's stronger in the air too.

Marosi has been fault for a few goals since return. The problem is the people in front of him. The defence drop clangers most weeks but people fail to notice it because the strikers miss so many chances.
