2013 was the crunch time, but too many people crying “I only want to watch my club” and she and the idiots in charge were given a degree of legitimacy and gave them carte Blanche to do it again. The time has passed it has gone, the people who were most vociferous in their opposition now are not interested.
Perhaps people like you and others should have seen what we were seeing, but hindsight is a great thing eh Grendel.
To be honest if you agreed with it or not the Northampton move was a deliberate strategy and made sense
The outcome could have been different
The problem now of course is that they have nowhere to go and are being backed into a tiny corner with no intention of surrender
One thing I’ve never been inconsistent on is the fact that they are just not very good. Seppalla may have strengths in debt management and distress but seems rather useless at running a company - she’s just not impressive at all
The concern is that people seem to think they are great business strategists and running the club prudently and responsibly. In real terms they’ve lost money every year, are continuing to lose money and have had to sell prime assets to manage the losses. In fact they are also now withdrawing money back from deferred interest and refunding with interest bearing shorter term loans.
There is no football strategy in terms are taking the club forward - just a hole things might be ok but I suspect the league we are in is little concern to our American Finnish owner.
Still I suspect the majority on here are with the programme (whatever that is) so I’ll leave it and let the thread return to asking football related questions
It was interesting however an obvious plant from the Sisu Minister of Communications was on here recently. He wasn’t very good either.
