CCFC Tickets: Midweek Ticketing reduced to £18 (2 Viewers)

THE Sky Blues have slashed midweek ticket prices in order to get more bums on seats at the Ricoh Arena.
After consulting supporters the club have come up with a new `Tuesday Night Football' price which will see adults paying just £18 in the vast majority of the stadium * a saving of £4 on the price for weekend matches.

As well as that, prices for all matchday tickets will now remain the same whether bought in advance or on the day of the game and booking fees have also been removed from all ticket purchases.

Dan Walker, ticketing manager for Coventry City, said the changes had been made to encourage more `walk-up' supporters and to increase attendance to evening games.

“We have spoken to a number of supporters and found the two most commonly mentioned problems with booking tickets were booking fees and having a different price on match day,“ he said.

“We hope by removing these factors, that it will give fans more freedom with regards to when, where and how they buy tickets to come to a game at the Ricoh.

“Also, when you look at recent seasons, evening games have not been as well attended as weekend matches.

“So we have released a new price for all our Tuesday night league games throughout the season which we hope will tempt more supporters to come to those matches and reward those who already do.“

The new Tuesday Night Football price will apply for the Sky Blues first home game of the season against Sheffield United on Tuesday, August 21.

Still too much imo for League 1.

Are you sure? I think you will find this is one of the cheapest prices in the League. Yep good move and I hope it is rewarded with more fans.

Without success they could be giving them away for a midweek game against Orient and we still would have a poor crowd. Still a positive move by the club for once

Sorry ,don't get this ,not having a pop at Club /Sisu ,guess its all in the presentation. Will it genuinely affect Tuesday night attendances ,personally don't think so ,whatever reasons people don't /can't go won't evaporate. Will it cost more on Saturdays ,for those that Bought prior to match previously ? It would appear so,unless there is some detial missing in the Article.
My reasoning is probably swayed by the fact that I don't think Ive ever seen a sliding Tarrif in the commercial world that ever favoured the consumer,IE; Power,Phone ,Flight tickets ETC.
Why should someone who can only attend on a Saturday subsidise a Tuesday nighter? It costs what it costs,All thats ever happened since sliding scales for usage have appeared are increased prices and profits for all the afformentoined, and confusion for the end user.Well I guess I must be biased.:(

I still think it's high. I buy a season ticket because I think that £13 per game is decent value for the level of football we are watching. At £22 it's way too much for L1 in my opinion.

Mind you, I agree that even if you made it a fiver, unless we were top 6 we wouldn't get a decent crowd (20k a week).
