Ranks highly (compared to other Championship midfield players) on a lot of the key metrics that recruitment analysts use to scout players. I don't know what that means for his price, but it definitely means he'll be on the radar of all of the big Championship clubs and a lot of the Premier League clubs (outside of the big boys) too.

I don't think many Premier League clubs will be interested in him yet, still has too many flaws to his game. Top Championship is about where he's at currently - maybe a relegated side or one who just misses out on promotion.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay another season, let him develop here before somebody else swoops in.

One of the most respected recruitment analysts who has been championing Hamer well before we signed him reckons £4m-5m is current value.

as I’ve said though. We don’t have to sell. He’s maybe only worth 4/5 million but if we stay up we’re in the position to inflate.

the difference between the championship and league one is about £12 million. We won’t necessarily be under any pressure to sell unless it’s for an over inflated price

Much depends how desperate we are for a sale. Our history tells us that we usually look to cash in one of our players every season, and if so Hamer and O'Hare are the most saleable. Playing wise it would make sense for both to stay another season, but outside forces could make that difficult to realise.

You might be right that Prem clubs wouldn't be interested. But he's definitely on their radar.

Is this the bit where we all line up to say that one of our best players is absolute shite and we’ll get two pound fifty for him?

And this guys works for the blades, so it seems at least Sheffield Utd are aware of him, should...i mean when, they get relegated

He clearly needs a rest I think
He shouldn’t be anymore knackered than O’Hare who runs around all match, I just think our team wasn’t playing too and his form dipped as a consequence as our better players come back I’m sure Hamer will be better. Robins tinkered the way we play Saturday high pressed and shifting the ball sooner from the back reckon he’ll thrive on that

He works for Luton, is a Sheffield United fan.
*EDIT Just seen @superskyblue beat me to it!

At the time he was working for MRKT Insights who were overseeing some recruitment for Luton & Swansea amongst others.

He's just a Sheff Utd fan actually. He works for Luton (as of last week).

Players have different aerobic capacities, red blood cells etc that affect how knackered they get.

Sometimes it can be down to personal choices (i.e. sitting in front of the TV with crisps instead of going for a run) but there'll be natural fitness discrepancies between people. Hence why someone like Shipley looks done after 30 mins while O'Hare and Dabo can just carry on.

I'm sure everyone remembers the kid at school that would just fly off into the distance at cross country and finish without even breaking sweat whereas you'd finish 5 minutes later and be absolutely spent. Some people are just more naturally inclined to that level of fitness than others.
