If CCFC came into some money (new owners) and gained ownership of the Arena, it'd look a lot better if all of the metalwork was painted sky blue. Also, the cladding on the inside which is currently white would look better navy imho.

I also think the seats should be skyblue and white in blocks, all the way round

It really does need some TLC. Shame they haven't used the past 12 months to get things back up to a decent standard. Could probably even get the council to pay for it and say its for City of Culture of the Commonwealth Games.

I recall they were given some grant from the council a short while ago for vital maintenence and improvements unless I got that wrong. Where has that money gone.

Anyone think there is more to that or just a genuine case of Boddy not being available?

Was cancelled over a week ago with the intention of rearranging within the next few weeks. I don’t think there’s a conspiracy but it would be nice if major announcements were close and so the meeting was delayed to make them possible

On balance I think another meeting came up but it is only about an hour in the week so who knows

If he says anything either way then all groups need be all over it and could scupper any potential confidential talks. As usual an article from the Telegraph that just leaves you wondering WTF and why they aren't asking any questions.

1) nothing in that article sounds 'state-of-the-art', it sounds like a run of the mill sports bar you can find pretty much anywhere. If you're going to call it state of the art and cutting-edge explain how it meets those definitions.
2) is CWLEP tax payer funded? Why are Wasps getting taxpayer money to open a bar?
3) is Bridge the worst reporter in history? 'mystery had surrounded the reason behind fencing', he reported on it back in September!

As I said at the time not really sure this is a great idea if they have hopes of it being used on anything more than a match day, and even then it will only move custom from other facilities there - no doubt to the annoyance of the casino. Can't imagine anyone making the effort to go there on a non-matchday.

I would hope, if we're back there, and presumably a sensible deal agreed with relation to food and drink inside the ground, that city supporters will give this bar the wide berth it deserves.

You ask the question about tax payer money - you know the answer Dave - CCC will support Wasps in whatever way they can. Shuffling money their way is their specialty. Think back to the money the council received in the summer...and gave to Wasps...

I think the Highfield Rd ship has sailed. The Ricoh makes sense atm until project Warwick Uni proves to be more than a pipe dream perhaps.

If the Warwick uni idea ends up being plausible and it's placed nearer a built up area, then it would be the best option I feel. Heck, if it's going to be a smaller size stadium, we might be able to get Cov Rugby there too and make it the real stadium for Cov Sport.

I had a dream we were back at the ricoh, the match day experience had improved with Wasps giving us more options in the concourse and it had more CCFC signage around but when I went up the steps someone was in my seat.

It’s 100% happening based on this dream alone.
