Biamou has had two good games. Im yet to see one by Gyorkeres and from what Swansea fans said they’re still yet to see one
He plays for Brighton! so thats why Swansea have not seen him play a good game

He was on loan at Swansea before us, Brighton recalled him as he was not getting much game time.
Ok sorry didnt realise! So have we got a pig in the poke again? I also was watching Giles play for Roverum on Saturday and he was no great shakes either and cannot defend for toffees

My God our fans are a bunch of cunts to our players. Is it really so hard to support the team?

People are discussing things on a football forum, not abusing the players in person or online. If players don’t want to see this stuff, then don’t log onto sky blues talk.

What would be the point of this forum if we can only say positive things? Yeah great I’m delighted with a point against the worst team in the league currently.

And equally I'm entitled to say that so called fans who are constantly calling out players for what they consider below par performances are unhelpful and unfair. We have the second lowest budget and therefore anything above second bottom is an achievement. We've not been in it all season and a bit of support over abuse might just help us over the line when we can kick on with a little bit more progress next season. Gyorkes has not had a proper run in a settled team and has only been here two minutes. He comes on as a sub with little supply (cant recall a sitter hes missed) and has a thread dedicated to him calling him the worst striker ever. This isn't a one off, virtually the who squad has had a slagging off on here, if you cant see that's a problem then it's hardly surprising. We've stepped up a level, we've had many injuries, we have little finance and no ground with 5 loaned in our side. I wonder why we're not 10 points clear at the top of the league.

Why is players being slagged off on here a problem? This is exactly where it should be happening and not directly at them on social media

I slag off Max a fair bit, when we’re back I’ll no doubt sing his name and he’ll be fully backed. Doesn’t mean I can’t criticise his performances on a platform designed for football discussion.

If you cant see the difference between giving an honest critique about a performance and being labelled the worst ever then it's little wonder we have these Groundhog Day posts.

Still think the same watching it back, Györkeres looks to push it to Biamou but he’s run behind him so he’s forced out wide.
Think max made the correct run, just too close to gyorkeres... So it's the correct idea but incorrectly executed

They don't seem to be on the same wavelength at all. Max seems to start off going right but then changes his course when Gyo runs towards the same spot. I agree that Max ends up running too close (or did Gy run too close to Max?) and at one point Gyo considers passing but checks - and the opportunity is lost at that point. I'm not very good at football but one thing I would do was run with the ball and then when a teammate came to support leave the ball but continue running to take the defender. Gyo seems to run out of ideas.

I don’t agree with the opinion. But this is the place for it and there’s no issue with it being put on here

Gyokores has been disapointing so far. His stats before Swansea wasnt bad for someone of his experience. His highlights package from the German League was promising and his buddy Ostigaard had already impressed.

Swansea have good players and being stuck on the bench was not necessarily a bad sign.

I think it shows picking up good strikers, unless already proven with a large fee, at this level is very difficult.

Even proven with a fee doesn't guarentee success - Kevin Drinkell was class and had scored goals everywhere until he came to Coventry. The first 5 games looked like decent business and then it just pancaked.

Victor's an international capped striker. I don't believe it!

He has scored as well at national team level. I was watching some videos of his goals over the years in Sweden and Germany and the guy has talent there. He’s very direct and in the right position in the box. He is suffering from a lack of confidence and just not playing any football this season. The Swansea loan was awful for him. Hopefully he can still contribute positively for us staying in the league.

Some perspective is required at times, fans need to remember that many of the players are playing at a higher level than they are used to, and that's due to the clubs financial situation.
But equally, frustration is bound to creep in when 2 strikers are played through on goal and cant even trouble the keeper! And let's not forget that all Hyam needed to do was kick the fucking ball any fucking where and not let it run past him for a fucking tap in!!!
Small margins, (or individual errors) are costing us dearly.
And this has to be the best place to vent frustrations. Try not to take it all so seriously,
A win tonight and all will be immediately forgiven.

Absolutely woeful player. That 2 on 1 with max was the epitome of what he is. Although Max couldn’t have made a worse run

It was almost as if Max tried his hardest not to receive the ball . And with the confidence of our strikers right now it was probably the right decision.

I hope he makes me eat my words but honestly he has been awful other than the game he scored
I agree and feel the same.

But I am puzzled because surely he must be much better than we have seen. He seemed to do reasonably well at St Pauli, is a full international with a fairly strong country and has even scored at the level. Also he seems to try hard. Is it just a matter of confidence?

I wouldn't pay much regard to his international cap. When he was called up was when they put together an experimental squad for the future and played some friendlies in Qatar. It's basically just another U21s cap except it was for the 'first team'. Looking at the rest of the squad for that round of games there is only a couple that have played a game for them since.
