Brentford game was great, watch it. Then be ultra annoyed when we don’t repeat the performance today.

Edit; misunderstood.

Watch the Brentford game instead of the Derby one today. Repeat until the end of the season and our late playoff push.

My laptop sent me to an old page dated Feb 2012, with the thread 'my starting 11, when everybody is fit'

Murphy

Keogh Crainie Wood Hreidarsson

Clingan Deegan Norwood

Mcsheffrey/Eastwood Nimley McDonald/Platt

Interesting (defence not too bad, but gets weaker afterwards!)

Oh yeah - today is anything from a one goal defeat to a 2 goal victory #hedgingmybets

Christ, we thought we had bad striking options now.

Some kind of result will be huge for us today. Need the football gods to be kind to us. Osti to get on the end of some stuff today. Need to keep their two on the right quiet today. Byrne that tricky right back/attacks a lot, and that Polish camel/Kamil whatever! Want that big lump Clarke to be marked at set pieces too.

They're missing Bielik who is their Callum O'Hare really, we really need to be winning this one tbh.
Very happy with this - watched a game when they were on Sky and he was exactly what you want in a relegation scrap.. head strapped and was still throwing himself around which ended up with a goal from a set piece I believe!

I have been thinking about this game. For Derby there is virtually no pressure. If they go out fast and score , City will find it very difficult to get back. A win for Derby would pretty much ensure they finish above City and obviously Sheffield Wednesday and Wycombe. They then would only have a very slight chance of finishing in bottom 3. As people have said maybe reason why they rested several players last week. I'm sure they will go out to win this game rather than avoiding defeat. Defeat isn't disastrous for Derby but a win for them is massive boast to staying up.

Opposite is true for City. A lot of pressure to win and it really is one of those relegation games we have to win. Defeat would be a massive blow. A draw clearly better than a defeat but a draw really isn't much help in our plight.

Obviously I would love to play for Coventry but never will etc. However if I was playing, I would be dreading this game today and next week too. Today needs Mark Robins to weave his magic and prove what a good manager he is and get right team selection, formation, adapting to events and motivation. Also the big players in team need to perform very well, in fact every player will have to play well. All obvious stuff I know but just a post of (negative) realism on what might happen today.

I do hope I'm wrong on sensing another defeat today.

I couldn't sleep last night so I ended up watching all the highlights from our games last season. Gave me such a buzz seeing the team develop and improve. It really made me want this even more, some of the football was crap and some of the stadiums were empty.

Stay up this season whatever it takes and we can go back and make a proper racket in the Championship. Starting with 3 points today.

COME ON CITY!!!!

Unfortunately there’s no escaping how big a game this is.

We really need MR/AV to get their tactics, both pre match and in game correct. Even the most staunch MR fan would admit his use (or lack of) substitutions and in game management is a weakness. It seemed to be improving, but Tuesday we went backwards.

Keeper wise, probably time to bring Marosi back in as long as he’s fully fit. Albeit he won’t answer the flaws levelled at Wilson.

Defence - Ostigard needs to come back in, Rose/Hyam aren’t exactly flying at the minute, especially Hyam. But not sure how comfortable Ostigard would be at LCB.

Midfield - tough one, as three (arguably four) of our best players are vying for two positions. Kelly is massively influential but struggled last game. Hamer flaws are more on show recently, but he’s one of only two creative players we have. James is a good player but hasn’t really found a consistent or influential enough form and Sheaf seems to be well down the pecking order.

Strikers - no real options here other than the same two. The Biamou debate will rage on forever (and early signs the Walker one might too), but when both on form they can cause issues. However I would give Bakayoko 25/30 minutes for whomever is looking tired - just ask him to be a nuisance against tired legs. And who knows what a goal could do for his confidence.

Let’s hope they all turn up today and are absolutely on it.

2-1, Biamou, COH.

A game like today really hits home how much I miss watching us live in persons.

On hopefully a positive note very rarely have I seen a good England performance (rugby or cricket) and City deliver on the same day. England have certainly done their bit today....come on city !!!!

We have our full team available perhaps including Godden today, our best team playing well will be good enough to win this game, Derby are good too especially midfield but I think they are a bit suspect at the back an intriguing and balanced game play well I think we will win.

Why man mark a relatively immobile target man? Best thing to do is make sure you're picking up any second balls as they drop

Derby don't have pace up front, so push them back. If we drop deep and give them set pieces, CK Richards and Clarke are a danger (and we all know about keeper issues from set pieces)
