To be fair, this situation doesn't help Rotherham one bit - unless they really do extend the season significantly. Their first game back (and possibly the second) they will be without certain 'affected' players and thereafter certain affected players may be 'affected' from a health or performance wise. Compressed fixture schedule won't help either, The reason Karanka is getting in a panic is that Blues could only be 3 points ahead of them after Saturday, yet Rotherham have 4 games in hand (and have to play Blues at home). On balance this has massively hindered Rotherham rather than give them an advantage (unless the teams just above go on a terrible run)
