I think for a time the club effectively locked the CET out (ironically during Gilbert's time). This meant that Reid got more info pushed his way but theirs certainly no wacky conspiracy like some think. I don't think there's any existing issue with the CET. I think a lot was probably turned around during Tom Leach's time with his contacts in the club.

It’s not a theory. All that’s happened is someone not linked with the two parties has shared some detail on the record and got things slightly wrong about dates. I’m sure we’ll all get some excellent news real soon

I must have a bad recollection of it, I always thought when news broke and it was in the telegraph it would be Simon Gilbert and you would tend to get the opinion from the slant of Wasps or the Council. If the news was broken by les Reid and the obsvervor it would tend to be from the view point of SISU. If it was an a scoop by les it was definitely from SISU, I include Tim Fisher when I say SISU.

Didn't a lot of the staff that work for the people who publish the Observer go on strike not long ago? No idea whats going on now but they seem to have gone down the copy and paste press releases and pretend its news route.

Think Gilbert has been given information by someone who is generally aware but not directly involved in the fine details. This is the problem with leaks, it sets false expectation. Outside of the parties directly involved no-one will really know the exact timescale as there are information embargoes, etc in place. I don't think we'll have to wait too long though.

Their job is to pull listeners in. They have no accountability to any of the parties directly involved. They've done their job and it worked - more people listened on Friday. Outside that, as fans, they're in the same position as the rest of us.
