I don't believe we get a say in when the rearranged fixture is. Thats an EFL decision to set the date.

We’re not going to have the power to try and dictate anything.
Look, if you have the chance to get Richard Wood back to full fitness, and all you have to do is falsify medical records, destroy the rest of your season’s schedule, trigger an EFL investigation, and deliberately infect your staff with a deadly disease to get it done, it really is a no-brainer.
I am sure the EFL have the discretion to move fixtures during this crisis I think that has been already been done but I’m not so sure about the international break that might not be in their remit as it is a UEFA stipulation I think.

Though obviously JCH was trying not to score for that one brilliant chance the keeper made a very good save for.
We were clearly trying to win the game at first, but then shut up shop and kept it right later on.
If the EFL had investigated that, we would have passed with flying colours.

We have to remember what was at stake for us.
Imagine if we'd gone all out to win it over the whole 90 minutes, and ended up having an injury or 2 to key players, and then gone on to lose against Notts County. There would have been a massive outrage. It didn't make sense to put everything into that game, there was far too much at stake, much more crucial things around the corner.

it is what it is, on one hand they should possibly have to answer to the EFL for why they are having these outbreaks and if they are being strict enough, but ultimately COVID, and the health of their employees trumps football.
If they can't fulfil their fixtures the EFL will need to act, we can only concentrate on ourselves doing our best to dictate our own fate.

Not sure why people keep talking like the postponements are a massive benefit to Rotherham. They've got more games left than free slots in the calendar, it's more likely to have an adverse impact on their performance than positive even if they do get some injured players back.

At the tail end of a season to have fixture congestion like they have isn’t great. So many players will be fatigued and get injured more easily.

Only way they "benefit" from it is if the season gets extended but can't see how that can happen. Firstly from an integrity point of view it creates a problem but also Playoff final is set as weekend of 28/29/30th May. Need to fit the semi-finals in first & can't push final date back because of the Euros.

I couldn't believe the fans getting on the back of the players at the end and willing for them to go forward. We needed to keep possession above all else and we are lucky that we had an old head there in Doyle. One mistake at the end there and our whole history over the last three years might have looked very different

I think the problem is more about a number of clubs have had positive cases, and continued to fulfil their fixtures, in some cases without some of their best players, including us.
Rotherham benefit by not being forced to fulfil their fixtures with the players they have available who have tested negative, and also it has helped them with their other injuries.
The only reason to postpone games IMO is if they can't field 11 fit players who have tested negative + 2 or 3 on the bench. We don't know the exact circumstances of course.

You have to wonder what the EFL are going to do considering that its being said that its against PFA regulation to play 3 matches in a week, the only real thing i can see is playing in international break. Unfortunatly that puts us at a disadvantage not having Osti for their 2 man mountains upfront.

I suppose it depends if Osti is called up for Norway, if he isn't then I don't seeing it being a problem. I'm not too concerned about Gyo being called up for Sweden.

The only way for Rotherham not to play 3 times in one week is to play us or Luton during the international break, with the other game played in the mid week before the final weekend's fixtures. Big call by the EFL as to how they arrange this. Anyone know if Luton are likely to have any players likely to be called away on international duty? If they don't then it would be logical for them to play their Rotherham fixture in the break, rather than us play then (presuming Ostigaard gets called up by Norway).

1 club has 3 players with covid
3 PLAYERS and our games called off?
We had to play on earlier in the season with Wilson Mcfadz Shippers not able to play with covid/ isolating.
So how the fuck have they pulled this off?

But if those three players have been around the other players, then they would all need to self isolate.
This is what would happen in a normal work place, if you all had the track and trace app and one goes down, then the whole office would be told to self isolate.
