Ban the Drum (3 Viewers)

One thing I noticed at St Andrews is that even on the days where it was quiet the atmosphere was a lot more organic with songs coming from different people and different areas. At the Ricoh people just sing whatever the drummers do.

Ban it and it'll be better there.

Please.

What about keeping the drum and adding a trumpet

That drum drove me nuts and there was another guy who used to beat the backboards like he was an apache. I know I'm becoming a curmudgeon, but someone needs to ban these fucking morons

Can't remember the away team at the Ricoh years ago where a lone fan had one and would do it whenever it went quiet.
Got Portsmouth written all over it

Can we bring whistles like the Sheffield United game instead?

Was eerily silent at times during games at St Andrews.

At least with the drum it can ramp up the atmosphere. The issue is the guy 'playing' it.

Don't have these problems in block 20, one match was so exciting a couple of years back I slept through most of the second half!
True story, there was a guy used to sit in front of us in block 20. Always wore a sky blue peak baseball cap. ALWAYS used to have a doze during games. Used to sit near 2 Chinese guys who we used to jokingly hope were a Chinese consortium sussing us out to buy us! Sleepy used to just randomly pick a seat to sit in each game. Made it a bit of fun during boring games as we didn't know where he was we could entertain ourselves with a little game of "spot sleepy"!

If it was at Wembley it would be the playoff next season if we didn't get 1st or 2nd. I'll take the sound of the drum. As for home games, people can sit away from them.
I was referring to the Checkatrade trophy final where the drum was in the row behind me so I had no choice, but I take your point with the home games.
