Get in!!!!

Get in!!!! signifies a goal but this is much better than a goal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best news I have had for ages. So so pleased.

I know there has been problems on all sides over a number of years but I believe it was so wrong to play away from City of Coventry.

I have NEVER been to any of the 'NON HOME' games and NEVER watched any highlights either of any of those games either. Admittedly have followed games on Sky Blues talk and did listen to commentary Brentford game on Talksport.

Truly great news.

Finally decided to buy an away shirt at half price this morning, then this a couple of hours later. A brilliant Sky Blue morning!

I know it could take a while but I'm already impatient for ST's to go on sale now

Doubt we'll get much detail. We'll probably have to wait a few years for the first seasons accounts to be published and compare to previous seasons but even that will be educated guesswork.

Although if we are getting a significant chunk of things like parking, pie & pint etc it would be in everyones interest to make that clear as it will encourage people to buy if they know its going to the club rather than Wasps.

I think you have to take the fact that the club are emphasising the deal is improved and acceptable as proof things are set up better this time round.

I doubt we will be able to glean much from the accounts other than whether or not matchday and commercial income has increased - even that has so many other things mixed in with it. Usually those are the only two categories of turnover information in the accounts

CCFC probably wont be operating the stadium on match days as such, the supply line for purchases, wages etc will be through IEC & Delaware North i would think - who will take out their costs first. Would think there would be some element of profit to wasps but the biggest profit to CCFC. That leaves CCFC to account for the profit from F&B, parking etc as the turnover in their financials - so the effect might not be that great in terms of turnover but would be turnover for CCFC with 100% profit

I think the press release is about as much info as we will get as to profitability of the deal to CCFC - but maybe worth a question at the next fans forum.

Really it doesnt matter to the fans so long as the CCFC owners & management are happy with the deal and it remains so

With all the positivity now it'd be nice to see an amnesty on 'real fan' sniping. In recent weeks it was getting hard to tell if people were more excited by the prospect of us playing in the city again or the chance to moan about people who won't be there.

Unbelievable!!!

My wife and daughter, got me a Third kit City of Culture kit for my birthday on New Years Day. It was too small and sent it back.
Guess what just arrived in the post 2 minutes ago. a bit late but actually perfect timing.

Coventry , English City of Culture 2021 and home City of Coventry City 2021

Boddy has just confirmed the new stadium at Warkwick Uni is still going ahead and the break clause at 7 years gives times to do that.

The deal is a win win for CCFC and Sisu.

This was amongst one of the articles on/in the telegraph:

" It's also understood to be one of the most lucrative deals yet for the football club in terms of their share of revenue from matchday car parking as well and food and beverages. "

Meaning the deal, not only being a decent length but will also help generate further income into the club.

I can imagine Covid has hit the Wasps accounts pretty hard with little income pouring in has led to a better deal for the club in securing extra income. Smart negotiating, now lets see some proper INVESTMENT in the squad if we're to push on and be comfortable in the Championship next season.

I think this forum should have its own block at the Ricoh, keep us away from the fair weather supporters 🤣🤣

I have to ask this.
Our owner moved us away from Ricoh to Birmingham cutting our gates by nearly 70% which probably affected MRs budget. We happened to have our best season for over fifty years and in my opinion could have commanded gates of 15k+ Now thankfully we are back to where we belong.
But what has changed to get our owner to decide to return ?
So another question Why ?

A question with a million answers and all will have a little prejudice included

My answer is mainly Covid with a bit of it makes business sense for both parties and many people made the parties realise it was us, the fans missing out so made it work

I think COVID and maybe a bit of Brexit does make you wonder what would have happened if there had been no COVID

It took 13 years but we are now in a better place than ever(Ricoh era)?

Everyone chant with me

THANK YOU SISU!!

everyone?..
I wont chant that.
All for trying to put bad feelings behind on such a happy day, but asking people to chant Thank You to SISU after what they have done over the years is not something I could consider and taking things too far.

I am glad that these parties have reached a commonly beneficial agreement and common (business) sense has been applied.

Well because there is no financial logic in it. Without COVID we’d have under the owners logic been losing millions a year - they I’d imagine will be looking to payback the money put in over the next few years

I’m certainly not unhappy, puzzled perhaps, but hopefully this is another little step to the end of Sepalla at my club, can’t see why she would want to be here now, even their little money tree of selling a star name each year is bolloxed.

They are starting to recover funds from the initial loans. This is an opportunity to continue with this strategy - it’s going to be several years before they go
