If you sign anymore city players you'll following us down to league one!

Btw do you need a striker.....we've got a really good one called Roy O'Donovan

We are in need of strikers as it goes but I'm hoping for more Bellamy than O'Donovan lol.

Nice bloke too, for what it's worth. He looked a little bit suspect defensively to me when we very first got him and he was playing at right back, although he wasn't shy of a dribble forward and absolutely grew into the season. He was generally magnificent at centre back last season. Decent pace, will throw himself in front of blocks and tackles. I would go along with the fact that he was caught out of position once or twice, but remember it was such a poor season for us that it was always likely at some stage and was never common. The fact he was often able to recover means it wasn't necessarily an issue anyway and showcased his talents further. Our player of the season last term by a country mile.

I wouldn't quite agree with you as although we have spent beyond our means, we've had to pay for it and there is no bigger example than the kit change. Ridsdale also dooped a lot of fans with an initiative he put in place. The Malaysians have one nothing more than pick up the mess. They have their ideas on investment as we are now finding out. I wouldn't say we're the worst offenders but I take your point with respect

Your fans were happy with overspending whilst it got you to playoffs and Wembley finals but most seem to object when someone wants all that borrowed money back. Clubs like yours benefit from reckless spending whilst the more prudent struggle. This is not the fans' doing, and it's a big gripe I have with all the clubs doing what Cardiff are. Clubs are rewarded for being careless and punished for being sensible. Just doesn't seem right.

Maybe we could swap Keogh for the rich Malaysians???
I'd be welcome changing to a red, orange, green or pink kit for such investment & relative potential success (NOT claret & blue though!)

To be fair, the point youre making is spot on but I can promise you that there are plenty of fans that were/are fully against paying the wages we did for players. Jon Parkin on £9k a week?? Cmon that's obsurd!! Players like Bothroyd and Burke were told they would either have to expect lower wages or move on, and move on they did. As I say though, deals like the Bellamy one two years ago was only £5kma week to us. Hard for other clubs to take yes but it was a unique situation and it got us nowhere so any overspending hasn't lead to any success and therefor our fans haven't seen any benefit. In fact, I'd argue we've seen more heartache

It's funny actually, some Leicester fans on here a while back said that it was more frustrating spending tonnes of cash and not getting anywhere than having none and getting relegated. At the end of the day, be careful what you wish for-I think every Cov fan here would trade their right arm to be spending millions a year and be up in play off contention than be sat spending what we can afford and sitting in the third tier. Fact is that the English game is favourable for those who want to have a punt and spend what they ain't got and unfavourable for those who want to play it safe. No hard feelings :)

Keogh and Turner will be the best CB partnership in the champ by far!

He's over-rated a little I think. The talk of him being the best defender in the league is over the top but he's a good Championship defender.

As has been said his strengths are in his commitment. He'll throw himself at everything, which makes him very popular with fans but it can also be his undoing at times.

He was culpable for a few goals last year (Reading at home springs to mind) where he charged out of position to make a block, leaving space for a clever opponent to pass into.

At the moment, I think Turner is the better defender but Keogh isn't too far behind. If he works on his positioning and concentration he can play at the top level, but I think Cardiff would be about the right standard of team for him.

If he does go, I'd wish him all the best. I got a bit frustrated with his lack of positional sense at times, but he always gave his all and was a good player for us.

No hard feelings at all. I understand your point totally and agree with it mostly. I just believe that we've also had transfer embargoes in recent times, minutes from administration and even being wound up by the HMRC and are now going through a very emotive kit change so it's not all rosey I can assure you. Add to that now a MASSIVE decide between fans over this kit change which has basically led to inward fighting between Cardiff fans all over Twitter, Facebook and message boards alike. There's a real uncertainty of how things are going to go down when it comes to the first game of the season.

It'll be interesting to see what Malky does with Keogh because Turner is by far our best defender so he's nailed onto the team sheet but Mark Hudson is our captain so the only way I can see Keogh replacing him is if Bellamy joins andnis given the captaincy again (far easier to replace Hudson then). There is a question mark over McNaughton though who's just had a pretty poor season, so maybe Keogh will be brought in as a RB to start off with and then potentially move him inside.

Keogh should have been our captain last season. Would do the job for you lot.

Will be up to see you lot play at home soon. Go with relatives of mine. At least I will know a few of the players.
