My concern is the games before then have us playing catch-up

Means fuck all, concentrate on the games you can win, the block of 6 I mentioned are all very winnable, and your last 5 are against teams who’ll have their feet up, your in a fantastic position for a relegation battling side, keep getting unexpected points like today, then perform to the best you have so far this season, against the teams in the bottom half, it’s easy your not a bad side.

Don't forget we were apparently certs to "sleepwalk" into the bottom 3 by February too... Didn't happen did it?

Your facts are off again, unsurprisingly.

Comment from 19th Janurary:

I've been saying it for weeks. We are sleepwalking into the relegation zone.

Since that time our gap has turned from 7 points to 3 points. We have also lost against Forest and failed to beat Birmingham.

That isn't taking anything away from a great performance today, but it is deluded to think we aren't in serious trouble.

Really don't understand the desire for some people to try and convince everybody else that we are in "serious trouble", "doomed", "fucked", "right in the battle", and so forth.

Everyone can look at the table and see what the situation is... we are right in it, and we are on a tough run of games... but i'd sooner be in our position than any of the teams below (possible exception of Rotherham as they're admittedly on a great run).

Shitting your pants about it isn't going to change things...

Hope your right mate as I say I want to be proved wrong for weeks I’ve fort we will beat teams now I’m just like - we cant score 6 in 11 is beyond a joke

You are such a bed wetter. You have constantly banged on in this thread about MR not addressing the striking issue in the window, but despite numerous posters pointing out that Gyokeres was the signing made to address that issue, it just doesn't seem to register with you, nor do our financial limitations that prevented us bringing in a Murray or an Austin.

Gyokeres is as good as we could have expected given those financial realities. It is too early yet to tell whether he will be a good signing or not, but remember he has already scored one important goal for us. Equally it looks like Walker is on the verge of returning, so either way we should get a boost of sorts up front so lets see how that pans out before we press the panic button.

The strangest thing with you is that despite this doom and gloom type view from you on this thread, on every match thread you seem to tip us to win beforehand. I fully expect to read the same before the Cardiff game! These constantly contradictory views make it seem like you don't know your arse from your elbow.

Gyo is the best we can hope for ? What about the fees we paid for the Scottish left back and Rochdale lad ? Did they not effect the budget for a striker ? 🤡 also if Gyo was brought in why is an injured player playing ahead of him ? 😁🤣

Yes I did tip us to win the last couple of games which clearly we should of won today done it for me the fact the window is open and we can’t score,we’re pinning our hopes on walker delivering so let’s see

Where were we going to get this magical striker from though? They are not ten a penny and are like gold dust. So many teams chasing and seeking out a good goalscorer to add to their firepower.

Where were we going to magic one up from? Good ones cost money and are not given up easily by clubs.

Will Grigg was available 😂

Will he score the goals to keep us up ?

The point you were making was you thought the budget should've been used to bring in a striker.

I'm pointing out we did bring one in.

Whether or not he can score the goals is another question entirely. That's a question of whether the recruitment dept have picked the right player, not whether money has been provided to bring one in.

IMO I'm not totally convinced - he seems to drift wide and we still don't have anyone in the box.

Fucking hell man, give it a rest!

You’ve made your point (reasonable logic) and many people disagree (also with reasonable logic).

Peddling the same shit just makes you look like you value your own opinion above the many people that disagree with you.

Great set of results last night.

Wycombe lost and Blackburn only picked up a point, so it keeps them just about in the mix and as Swansea obviously only picked up a point too, it means they are still in our sights to overtake them.

It is down to us now, we have a full fit squad now if we can’t wriggle free of the bottom five with the eleven fixtures we have left questions will need answering.

hope you’re right, I’ve been saying today’s game will be the one we lose for weeks now think we’ll go on another winning streak after today though.
They don’t offer much Kazim-Richards is physical only threat I seen against us was set pieces

As mentioned on another thread:

Wycombe: Doomed
Sheff Wed: Too far behind to catch up
Rotherham: Fixture Pile up and Covid fatigue
Birmingham: Nightmare games left
Huddersfield: Dropping faster than a hooker's panties
Derby, Forest and a few others: Still in the mix.

If we can't finish ahead of three of these we deserve to go down;

P.S. I don't care if Derby beat Barnsley 5-0 Nothing's going to spoil today.

Just taken in another added bonus (x2) for us next week.

Our game away at Luton is on the Tuesday (giving Luton only 2 days recovery from their Saturday fixture)
Wycombe play on the Wednesday, giving them 2 days recovery time for our game, compared to our 3 day break from the Luton game.

Every little helps!!

Brum - Bristol
Derby - Millwall

Can see both Brum & Derby getting something today hoping nothing more than a point at best
Brum need something today, because of their remaining fixtures only 4 games look OK

I predict Derby beating Millwall, Blues drawing with Bristol City, Huddersfield losing against QPR and Sheffield Wednesday losing against Norwich tomorrow.
