Lots of our subs are never used.If its because Robins dont trust them what are they doing there to start with.We have got no game changers at aii.

People were moaning about Pask earlier in the season and saying he wasn't good enough.
Still not good enough, usefull benchwarmer as he covers 2 or 3 positions, but not good enough to get a start when everyone's fit.

Having said that, he's never let us down when called upon, but I'd expect him to move on in the summer to get more game time.

I think what the OP is trying to say is that we have certain players who are regulary on the bench but never get played when MR makes subs. For example Baka
The reason for me is that they arnt good enough and MR doesnt see them as game changers however he has to name a full bench it would be stupid not to in case of injuries or sendings off which would leave us with no cover in a certain position.

Yep. Then players like Allen and Shipley will very rarely be brought off the bench but will be thrown in to start randomly

MR wouldnt have known for sure who could make the grade in the Champ. all the players deserved a shot and frankly we were in no position financially to replace many 1st teamers last year anyway.

The evolution of a squad that happens slowly over successive seasons (especially at our budget level)

You have key first teamers, rotation players, back ups and dead wood.

if we survive this year they will shed a crop of players that Championship is a step too far. move some of the current first team to be back up and bring in some quality.

add some new key players every year and everyone else moves down the pecking order until they hit the deadwood pile where you try shift them

as long as this is the system we will grow.

Spot on although I'm not sure we'll shed as many as some expect. Championship players are very expensive or, if we rightly continue to try & find undervalued talent etc. the market for those players now will be far more competitive too.
