Marosi (as No 2)
Rose
McFadz
Dabo
DaCosta
Reid
Kelly
Sheaf
Eccles
O’Hare
J. Jones
Godden
Biamou (back up striker)

I’d sell Walker and bring in a no 1 striker, with Godden as no 2. Biamou and Tavares as back up.
Wilson, Shipley, Allen, Hyam, Pask, Jobello, Kastanerr, Hilsner all to be sold/released.

Due to the fact we don’t have a magic money tree

In the first team:

Dabo, Rose, Hamer, Sheaf, O’Hare, Walker

In the squad:

Dacosta, McFadzean, Hyam, Reid, Eccles, Jones, Allen, Godden

Think that’s about it. Though we won’t have the funds to buy 10+ players so inevitably will have to keep others around. But we need 6/7 first team quality players in the summer whether that’s loans free or whatever. Someone needs to find a way.

You've got to be practical. If we can bring in a new #1 striker at least one of Godden an Walker become a backup. Or even both of them if we go one up front. Would they be prepared to take that role?

Even if they would you have to look at the impact on budget. Biamou as a cheap 4th or 5th choice striker is very different to him playing every game as 1st choice.

Making a judgement on Tavares seems harsh even for our fanbase. 20 year old kid that's only been here a few weeks and hasn't played a game but we're already talking about getting rid of him!

There's not many players I'd be upset about losing to be honest but equally the replacements would need to be better and that's not a given with any signing.

And of course its a lot easier to list who you'd sell on here but the reality is you need a willing buyer. Which players are out of contract at the end of the season?

As we don't have an unlimited budget would it be better to target 2 or 3 key signings rather than trying to build pretty much a whole new squad from scratch? New keeper, Osti replacement and a goalscorer who isn't injury prone would be the things I'd be addressing first.

We need to add strength height and pace straight down the spine of the side and a goalkeeper who commands his box and can save the ball ability on the ball should be less important

I'd be tempted to cash in on Walker, Hamer and O'Hare for the right price.

We need to decide how we want to play football and how we score goals. The wingbacks and box system did is well in league one, but they aren't working in this league. We were equally impressive if not more dangerous when before Jobello got injured with the 433 formation, with Jobello one side and Hiwula the other.

Be surprised if we’d even get our money back for Walker wouldn’t you? Hamer 2-3m if we’re lucky? I’m resigned to losing o’hare

Whilst he's arguable been our best player, is output is replaceable. I know I keep going on about it, but 2 goals in 39 games for a number ten is not good enough.

You might get some money back on Walker depending on who goes down. Guaranteed goals in league one.

Why would you have biamou as a 4th or 5th choice - it’s pointless. Retain Mcfazdean as 6th choice? Keep Kelly in case we need him for a couple of games? Get mason back for the one game he may have to play?

Probably only Osti, Dabo, Hamer & O'Hare who are up to Championship football. Won't be wholesale changes due to money constraints, if we stay I think the following positions would go a long way to making the season easier, badly need quality over quantity, so would like:-

1 GK
2 CB
1 CM
1 AM
1 Target man.

Would keep O’Hare and Dabo
Would try and get ostigard back on loan (assuming Brighton stay up).

Keep Marosi as number 2 keeper, Kelly, rose or hyam (not necessarily both), as squad players. Possibly Sheaf (if we tied in to buying him).

Don’t really think any of our strikers are championship quality...but need two of them as back up (a fully fit Walker and godden...but wouldn’t be unhappy if they all were replaced)

Hamer flatters to deceive...perhaps his head turned. I expect him to sign for a top Scottish club

Fadz as a defensive coach or help train youngsters.

Rest of first team for me can go.

Would like to see Reid and bapaga in pre season...will they make it. Same with Eccles.

Robins needs to be ruthless and needs improvement all over the field.

If they are under contract you will struggle to get rid of them.

Players I would sign on new contract ,Thompson squad player, Eccles squad player, Kelly squad player. Possibly Shipley for squad but I year (he might benefit from a proper pre season fitness wise).

Hyam I think we can find someone better.

Sheaf I think we have an obligation on and he could still improve.

Ostigaard if available and we can afford him.

McFadz done well but too old next year - already lacks pace.

Jones too imjury prone and unknown at this level. Baka not good enough. Biamou not good enough. Kasta not good enough.

We need a striker, an attacking mid, a goalkeeper and at least two centre backs.

This is based on us staying up.

I think I’d like to see us go back to 4231. Get a striker who can lead the line, a couple of wide forwards, and then hopefully we only need one CB a GK and a proper LB. Play O’Hare in the number 10 with Hamer and Sheaf behind.

We’ve really lacked wide forwards this season.

It's taken a while to re-establish a sense of identity again, and a number of these players have been at the core. If you go to work with a bunch of friends and they all suddenly leave, it's unsettling. I get it that a football club is different, but we know that players under contract can't just be sold off and nearly everybody we let go will have to be replaced with someone who will be on a) higher wages or will cost more in transfer fees than anyone we sell. So, to expect to be losing 15 players and buying 15 is asking for chaos with the likely resultant league position. We all know we need to lose at least half a dozen and strengthen, but our budget is unlikely to be able a mass turnover in one go.

Ah yes, because releasing Dabo, Dacosta, Pask, Rowe, Drysdale, Williams, Rose, McFadzean, Hyam, Thompson, Marosi, Wilson, Billson, Tyler, Reid, Kelly, Sheaf, James, Hamer, Allen, Shipley, Mason, Jobello, Jones, Kastaneer, Bremang, Bapaga, Walker, Bakayoko, Gyokeres, Hilssner, Burroughs, and Young is gonna be really beneficial for the club....

I do find it comical that people are making judgments either way on players like Reid and Tavares when they have not seen them kick a ball. :ROFLMAO:

Would be if we replace them with actual Championship standard players.

Over to you Joy.

Lol indeed. All this talk of budget which is trying to imply it’s beyond the clubs influence is nonsense. This is one thing that genuinely annoys me about Robins as he’s very quick to trot out the owner messaging

It’s rubbish in this division there is no real budget there’s no wage cap vs revenue it’s how much the owners want to spend

Ah now we are in agreement. The budget is whatever Joy decides to spend. We exist entirely at her behest and aren’t self sustainable. With you now.

The point on the budget debate is mark robins has zero knowledge of other clubs budget (I assume he means wages) and the suggestion we have less spend than Wycombe is utter drivel

Owners are I think permitted to oversee losses of £15m and can put equity in the club
