I sometimes feel like the only person in the world that thinks this show is a piece of shit.

Watched the first season and it was so hammed up it felt like a parody.

First time i've ever seen it to be honest and I can see the appeal. Hopefully I don't need to watch the previous 5x series to get up to speed!

Hardly surprising when most conversations go something like........Your C.I.U was followed by my O.C.G, where was the P.O.I when the first W.P.C turned up at I.C.U after the O.C.G.............

Thought they kept referring to a "JIZ' until the end when the TV announcer explained it was CHiS...." covert human intelligence source” an informant basically!

I think it’s done deliberately in an attempt to give it an air of intelligence and complexity in the hope it will distract from the far fetched ‘weak as piss’ plot.

Can't believe they mentioned the Daniel Morgan murder.
Wonder if thats why there was a big article in the Daily Mail about it last week?

Thats what I mean, but then left it at that.

Edit, just seen that picture of his file open.....
It looks as though its his police record. She's probably now wondering why they have moved an experienced police sergeant on, and replaced him with a glorified tea boy.

Nothing to do with this series but during the last series did anyone else notice a large street map of Coventry city center on an office wall in the police station scenes.

It’s ironic considering Unforgotten was the best crime series I’ve seen for a long time on mainstream TV but as it’s not cliche nonsense well it’s forgotten

I've heard Unforgotten is good. Do I need to watch the previous series before picking up on episode 1 of the current series?

I would watch them all - you don’t have to buy the central character Cassy Stewart is pivotal and her family relationships - it’s superior in every way

Yeah you need to probably watch them.

Although, I thought the last series was the worst of them.
