But people are biased - you are politically biased
I am. But I do try to get look at news sources from outside of my bubble, though arguably not enough.
There isn't really any MSM I trust. The Guardian is more truthful in its reporting than the Mail but it still has a clear centrist agenda.
I wouldn't class the guardian as centrist myself..it definitely leans leftI am. But I do try to get look at news sources from outside of my bubble, though arguably not enough.

I don’t think the Guardian is any more truthful
It constantly shows up as more trustworthy on media bias checking sites. Its still classed as mixed on mediabiascheck which isn't a ringing endorsement.
The mail, sun and express don't rate well at all for reliability.
Media bias checkers , are they impartial individuals..straight down the middle or do they themselves have a political agenda ?
That's the real question
I wouldn't class the guardian as centrist myself..it definitely leans left
A recent visible bias displayed on social media is the removal of 2.5 million dislikes from the white House channel on YouTube.
Ofcourse youtube will say they are all bots .
Twitter removing certain hashtags too
The way we are being fed our information through algorithm is completely bias and a way to only make us see certain things ..... propaganda basically
Yeah, of course they wouldnt
I don’t think the Guardian is any more truthful
Ultimately Facebook and twitter are self regulated businesses and are fine to choose what they want and don't want on their platforms .This is a huge debate.
I heard someone from Facebook interviewed about it regarding removing anti vaxxer stuff and obviously they defended their corner and said they're doing what they can regarding that and other issues.
But should free speech and the right to post what you want be allowed? Like I say, big debate.
The main news outlets, entertainment industry and virtually anyone in the public domain are hugely anti Brexit. Not buying that one. Anyway like most protests in NI this is more to do with paramilitary agitators grooming the next generation to violently oppose any kind of law and order
Ultimately Facebook and twitter are self regulated businesses and are fine to choose what they want and don't want on their platforms .
That's freedom for you .
Problem is both sites influence people and can potentially set in stone their beliefs for life
You could argue both sites are creating anger and hatred , both sites enable extreme movements and both sites are causing social problems ...
Isn't it wonderful living in a world where you are shown what they want to show you based off political and media bias and current trend ....Not
The mainstream media is unfortunately a propaganda tool .
We need more alternatives
The main news outlets are not all anti brexit at all, (obviously some are).
There has been minimal reporting of the issues affecting the fishing industry and the drop in exports to the EU.
If it was going well the main.protaganists would be all over the news crowing about it but they're not (if the tide turns they'll be straight out of the woodwork).
And the rioting in NI has explicit links to Brexit as do the threats carried out against customs staff there.
I don’t think the Guardian is any more truthful
Yeah let’s go with the totally unbiased Russian state media and their cavalcade of you tubers and bloggers and a bunch of activists and shady fucks fix need by fuck knows who.
Say what you like about professional reporters, they do have some standards and accountability. If they aren’t good enough I’m not sure the answer is to go with people with absolutely standards or accountability.
Somebody who leans left ...is happy that the media swings his way ....shocker
The media does not swing my way mate. Not by a long shot.
That's your bias showing .. the BBC received around 10% of its budget from the European Union around 17/18
The problem is most people don't have the time to research every big news story to get to the unbiased truth.
We needed media who do their job properly without pushing an agenda. A pipe dream of course.
The media does not swing my way mate. Not by a long shot.
But you’re saying let’s go with a bunch of bloggers and Twitter posters over actual trained journalists.
Lets be honest, you didn’t like the fact all reasoned opinion was against Brexit and now want the comfort blanket of someone telling you what you want to hear.
I vote for the same party as shmmeee thoughThere we go, lefty righty lefty righty.
No longer can people just be a twat, need to check if they are left or right before commenting.

Like I said before the last general election , if you were on twitter , you'd have been convinced Jeremy corbyn would be the next prime minister...absolutely convinced .
If you're on twitter today, you'd be convinced the police were all evil
Just seen the bottom part ...
I don't think about brexit often ..I get on with my life and nothing has changed , no comfort blanket here .
A good few on here however could do with a big blanket
America is dreadful..Because that media is predominantly used by the young age group who have a tendency to be on the left and idealistic, especially this generation who're being sold up the river. Similarly read the Mail/Sun/Telegraph etc and you'd think everyone on the left hated Britain, were anarchist yobs and bone idle. My auntie exclusively reads the Mail and you can tell - when she talks about stuff it's almost a word for word regurgitation of their take on it.
Then you look at America with Fox, Breitbart etc - they're not even trying to hide the fact they're basically propaganda machines.
Thats what it always comes back to “wah the BBC repeated what experts said about Brexit” or “they aren’t being exactly how I want”.
The biggest news papers and websites in this country have been socially conservative at best to downright racist at worst forever. Similarly they’ve been small state, pro business, pro Tory forever.
The fact the fucking Guardian exists isn’t proof of a liberal conspiracy in the media. Are university educated people living in London generally socially liberal and centrist economically? Yes, no shit. Is there a London bias in the media generally? Yes.
But the answer isn’t to turn to a bunch of right wing think tank YouTube channels and faux grass roots bollocks like Darren Grimes and the army of bots on SM and the fucking Canary on the other side.
The answer is to diversify the media economically, geographically and philosophically while still maintaining basic journalistic standards and accountability. And to treat the internet as the dumpster fire it is.
This is a huge debate.
I heard someone from Facebook interviewed about it regarding removing anti vaxxer stuff and obviously they defended their corner and said they're doing what they can regarding that and other issues.
