Godden is only 29 (30 in July). Injuries may be an issue, but if they're avoided, he's got a good couple of seasons left in him if he's up to this level (especially as pace isn't really his forte)
He’s not at this level he’s injury prone if we do stay up this summer is the one to pickup a fee to reinvest

Godden is not Championship standard if we want to push on. He should be a bench player at best next season

I would give Walker one more season but even then there's question marks. He's been injured though and had Covid so it's which we should give him a chance next season

New striker to partner Walker, with Godden as 3rd choice please.

Given Godden left Peterborough because he was third choice, he'd be unlikely to accept similar here.

Fair point, although its obviously a league higher and Max has played plenty of football this season. You’d hope the injuries to the two first choice strikers is the exception to the rule though. He may well prefer to drop down and start every week for an upper mid table side with ambitions.

And I would argue we’ve seen how much a 3rd choice striker is still involved this last season.
He clearly wants to be first choice though, and who can blame him really? Synergist would take him, an Uptick or the like, and Jeff Goldblum do well and have a good season.

(I couldn't be bothered to change the auto correct, but think somebody, Ipswich etc!)

Yes he is, has had a rare hard to treat injury, probably not 100% match fit yet but is a handful for any defence.

I do get where you’re coming from, but given his recent injury I’m wondering whether he may change his attitude slightly on needing to be first choice? Moving to the latter stages of his career now and I’m sure he wouldn’t want to end up being unable to walk or similar.

Hard to assess Walker so far really. As others have said, he's had a torrid time this season with injury and Covid. Has showed signs but again tonight lacked the cutting edge.

I'm sure it will come, potential is there.
