Never doubted we would stay up and March on next season.

Not a chance, a lot more football to play But I think we will stay up. Looking at our run in, the only game where I couldn’t see us getting a result would be stoke away, the rest we could win (we of course won’t win them all!). Will be interesting to see how much Thursday took out of us as Barnsley would have had a week recovery. Take a point tomorro, the Huddersfield game could be a nothing critical game

After having another look at the table if Roth lose tomorrow and we can pull off the win I would say 48 points could well be enough, 50 would put it to bed for sure.

Equally, Rotherham’s home form is terrible. They’ve lost to us and Wycombe in recent weeks - relegation rivals and (before last night), 23rd and 24th in the form.

I’m not one to be complacent, but considering our home form is top half, I can’t see us getting relegated with 3 home games remaining, 2 of which are very winnable ties.

The likelihood is that a loss to Birmingham seals their fate. They’ve got some tough ties.
Sure, my point was just we're still at a stage where one weekend of bad results means we're still right in the relegation mix and under pressure to get a result. And it's that whacky point of the season where form and league placing often goes out the window.

I don't think we'll be relegated now and Robins has shown several times that he is at his best when we need to win. Plus Derby have already lost so a point on Sunday would be a fantastic result.

As I've said on other thread, it would be fantastic to be safe with a game or 2 to go so that we can give the likes of Reid, Bapaga and Eccles a start.

After yesterdays huge 6 pointer, do you see us safe in your eyes? If not, what do you think we still need?
We are not safe till it is impossible to go down because there will always be that chance we drop off in form so until it’s mathematically impossible to go down we are not safe and should not get complacent

I did one of those calculator things ages ago and had us on 48 but safe going into the final day so I'm sticking with that

I don’t know about safe but it now feels like each game is a countdown to safety rather than a countdown to relegation. As well as beating Rotherham Derby losing last night helped that feeling. Of course it could all change tomorrow again.

Fair play to em, given it a real go last few weeks now pressure is kind of off.
I was stunned that they were playing for a draw & time wasting vs us tbh. As frustrating as the result was for us, they needed the points even more than we did. If they'd sneaked a win then too they'd have a fighting chance.

Good job we beat Rovrum the other night.
And thank fuck Wensdee had 6 points deducted.
Its that squeaky bum time of the season again.
But let's remember our fate is in our own hands, and 3 points tomorrow would be massive! PUSB.

Even if you added them back on they'd still be below us & I'm confident that will remain the case.

My point was IF we had lost, and IF they hadn’t had the deduction, they would now be above us. (With at least +1 GD)
All hypothetical now anyway.

IF Biamou and O'Hare buried half the sitters they've missed this season we'd be midtable!

If we hadn't given away half of the stupid goals and penalties this season we'd be midtable.

Whilst I don’t think we’ll do a Barnsley, with the right additions, we should probably be a decent mid table-ish team. We just need to survive this year.

Definitely, we just need some clever recruitment, and maybe a few surprise departures to allow that to happen.

I think 4 more points from 5 matches

A blues win tomorrow and a city win though ...we are almost home and dry

All teams will point to ifs and buts about why they are down around the bottom, but I doubt there is any team that has thrown away winning situations like we have or missed so many gilt edged chances and that’s not counting those stupid early goals and hitting the woodwork 25 times, we should definitely be sitting with at least a dozen more points

Think Luton are more realistic, never really in danger this season after properly digging themselves out at the end last time out.

I did wonder how many penalties and own goals we had given away this season in comparison to other teams, and at the other end how many times we hit the woodwork.
