Peterborough have to get promoted yet and more importantly we must not get relegated
Not all over yet !!

It’s a massive jump between league one and the Championship, just look at the record of James Collins and Lapado who both have decent records in league one.

Conversely look at Toney

Yes he is the exception, would have been interesting to see how he would have got on in the Championship with Peterborough.

Collins is last his best anyway but has still managed 12 this season.

He was reported as being one of the best prospects in the CCFC Academy but the club released him.

He was a more talented striker than Biamou, but Robins often picked Biamou over JCH, and eventually allowed him to leave.

I don't know why he was released on both occasions but he was. It certainly was not due to lack of ability.

As soon as he got to Bristol he started scoring and that has continued at Peterborough.

I don't know whether a return to Cov would work out ,or even if he would want one, but I'm not excited about it

Fair play to him. Journeyman who finally knuckled down at Bristol Rovers and Peterborough - because his career was in danger of drifting and running out of clubs who would be willing to take a punt.

Cant see him scoring 20 in Championship though?

And he is Peterborough highest paid player, as if we could afford his wage demands to be 3rd or 4th choice.

Really difficult one this. He's 91 in 308 career games, but was 34 in 214 when he last left us and 57 in 94 since. Very impressive over 2 years, only 9 career goals at Championship level.

Could be a maturity thing as 26 now and should soon be hitting his peak or is it styles of play, feeling wanted or something else. If I'm honest I never quite saw it with us. Always felt there was something there, but didn't think it would ever get unlocked.

The championship is an anomaly really - he was young when signed and actually a lot of his sub games were last 5 minute cameos

Not sure, but the article i read said he went there as their highest earner.

Peterborough have form for spending big on strikers. McAnthony has been very open on that over the years as that’s where you see the most ‘value-add’. So haven’t got any figures but would be surprised if he wasn’t highest paid.

Some bias views on here lol. He’s clearly improved loads since being here and would be our best striker right now. If he got signed by a decent championship club, then I don’t think hitting 20 goals is out of the question. At Posh it seems less likely.
